To provide the best care possible, please share the routine and schedule, such as feeding times, walk times, bedtime routines. Any medical needs and/or physical limitations, such as medications, special diets, allergies, or chronic conditions. Any behavioral notes I should be aware of (fears, anxieties). And finally, your emergency contacts and any house rules I should be aware of (furniture rules, treat limits, or training cues you would like me to reinforce). The more I know, the more comfortable and happy your pet will be!
A typical day
A typical day starts with a warm hello and some gentle pets. I follow your care instructions closely, whether that’s preparing a special diet, administering medication, or giving extra time for walks and potty breaks. Throughout the day, I keep your pet’s routine consistent with feeding, playtime, and plenty of love. If I’m walking your dog, we go at their pace, whether it’s a short stroll for a senior pup or a longer walk for an energetic dog. I send photo updates so you can see your pet enjoying their day, and I make sure they’re safe, calm, and happy before I leave. My goal is to make their day (and yours!) as stress-free as possible.

Hi! I’m Amy, a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages — including seniors, pets with medical conditions, and those who need a little extra care. I have adopted and fostered numerous dogs over my lifetime. As a disaster recovery volunteer with the Red Cross, I also volunteer to care for the animals who have been forced out of their homes due to natural disasters. I have extensive experience caring for senior dogs and cats, including those with mobility challenges, chronic illnesses, vision impairments, and specialized dietary needs. I understand how stressful it can feel to leave a pet that requires extra attention, and I take pride in providing calm, compassionate care. Because I work from home, I have the flexibility to spend extra time with your pets, ensuring they receive the focused, high-quality care they deserve. I offer: 🐾 Daily Visits: Feeding, fresh water, litter cleaning, playtime, cuddles, and short walks. 🐶 Dog Walking: Exercise tailored to your dog’s age, size, and energy level. 🏡 Overnight Care: Staying in your home for added comfort and security. 💊 Specialized Care: Administering medications (oral, topical), helping with mobility issues, and keeping pets with chronic conditions safe and comfortable. My Experience - in addition to the care I provided to my own fur babies, I was a volunteer with the Cat Care Society of Denver and am a volunteer with the Dane County Humane Society, where I am an Advanced Feline Friend trained to work with shy, stressed, or special-needs cats. I also served as a foster family with the Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue in Colorado, caring for dogs in high-stress transitions and preparing them for adoption.
