Pet care experience

Their 🐾 deserve to be in safe 🤲

I've been caring for dogs 17+ years and am pursuing pet care full-time :) I know it's always nerve-wracking to leave your babies with someone you haven't known very long. Please also reach out with any questions, no matter how small. I want to do everything I can to put your mind at ease! Growing up, my family had two dogs. One was very anxious around men, and the other had severe separation anxiety. I got very good at making them comfortable and learning to approach and care for other nervous/elderly pups. I love winning over a shy pup! I can almost always get them to come around, and it's the biggest compliment in the world for a pup to trust me. I've also worked with reactive and high energy dogs. I know how to tire out energetic pups and avoid aggression triggers while doing so. I currently don't have a dog, so your baby will be getting all my love and attention! I will truly treat them as my own. Please reach out directly to discuss the potential of a sliding scale payment structure!

Amy is such an awesome pet sitter. She gave my cat so much attention while I was away. I really appreciated and looked forward to her detailed updates. She made sure my cat got plenty of playtime and loving. I’ll always book with her!

Booked with Amy last minute when another sitter canceled on me. She was able to meet my cat the next day which was amazing! She had great updates and Addie enjoyed her company. Will definitely book with her again.

My life has drastically improved since hiring Amy on as a dog walker. My dog absolutely loves her, I never have to worry about whether or not she’s getting enough attention/exercise. Amy always sends tons of pictures and videos and has been extremely communicative. Amy is so sweet and you can instantly tell how seriously she takes her job and her love for animals truly radiates off of her, she is the best out there, highly recommend!

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I work fully remote in Eastlake and spend most of my free time working with animals, taking trainings, and inching towards a life where I can do pet care full-time. I intentionally keep my weekends open so I can take care of your pup while you're out skiing/hiking for the day, or travelling for the weekend! On weekdays, I am almost always free after 2:30pm.

These questions have become very important with pups I've worked with over the years! Before I start working with your baby, I'll want to know answers to any of the following questions that you believe relevant to your pup: -Are there any temperament/aggression concerns towards men, women, children, or other dogs? -Any aggression triggers, or situations/places you'd like me to completely avoid? -Would you like to see a certain distance accomplished during these walks, or is a sniffari (sniff safari), appropriate? You know your pup’s needs better than I ever will, so please help give them the best experience I can! -What style of harness and leash is your pup used to walking with? Do they wear anything specific in the rain, or when the pavement outside is hot? If possible, please show me where all these items are kept or leave them out on the day of a visit. -I like to make sure the paws of your pup are wiped before they come inside on rainy days (if this is important to you). Is there a towel I can use for this and where can I find it? -Are there are any food/water dishes you'd like filled while I'm there? -Does your pup have any food sensitivities? I like to bring a variety of treats with me on all walks to build trust and use as a safety tool if needed. I generally get natural & limited ingredient treats, but please let me know if there’s any specific ingredient or food I should look out for! I am happy to send you ingredient lists for the treats I generally carry with me. -Any healthcare needs (medication administration, etc)? -Are there any training cues you'd like me to continue during my visit with your pup? If you have any behavior you're encouraging/discouraging when someone enters your home or while your pup is on walks, I'm happy to enforce those. It can be helpful for them to get the same message from all the people they see during the day. -Any specific updates you would like to receive during every visit (consistent stool updates, success messages on medication being administered, etc). I will always send some photos, but if there's something specific you'd like documented, I'm happy to focus on that! -Where you would like your baby to relax after our time together? (do you like them cozied up in a kennel, your backyard, in a specific room?). -Is there a chew or treat (such as a kong or pupsicicle) that helps your pup be less stressed when left alone? If so, would you like me to put this out for them when I visit? Where can I find this to leave out for them at the end of our sessions? -Where do you usually dispose of poop bags? -Is there anything else you can tell me to ensure that I make your pup the most comfortable they can be?
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
