30 yrs puppy raising (guide dogs)
I've spent the last 30 years as a volunteer puppy raiser for 3 different organizations in 2 countries, which means I take 8-week-old puppies and raise them until they are old enough for their formal guide dog training. I housebreak them, socialize them, and teach them their foundational obedience skills. I've raised 17 dogs and puppy sat too many to count. I'm now turning my talents to care for your pup! I work from home and have the time, space, and capacity to welcome your pup into our pack.

Amy is AWESOME! We were gone for a week & she provided daily updates & pictures/videos! She was very communicative & is knowledgeable of dog needs & behaviors! She taught us how to properly interact with our puppy. This was our first time away from our 2 year old puppy & Amy was extremely patient with our clingy labradoodle!! I was able to actually enjoy my vacation and not worry about my dog’s safety… he even made new friends!
Our dog Auggie had an excellent time. He came back very happy and energetic. Amy knows dogs.... She was very professional and easy to deal with. Highly recommended.

Wonderful hostess for a weekend stay. Our 160 lb Newfie had a great time and I got regular updates and photos. Even though he became a problem child at times (1st time away from home and needs more obedience training), he got regular walks and attention. Very professional and responsive.

I work for myself and work from home, so the boss is pretty flexible and understanding about taking breaks to relieve, play, and walk the pups.

I have decades of experience bringing new dogs into my home. My current pet is used to having visitors, and I'm also able to separate dogs as needed or crate dogs if required (mine or yours if they prefer). I have lots of toys and am happy to adjust access depending on your dog's requirements (hard vs soft, no rope toys etc) .

A typical day
For dogs with good leash manners, we walk in the morning and often in the afternoon or we have a play break in the fully fenced back yard. Let me know what your pup enjoys and I''ll do my best to accommodate them.
