Safety, trust & environment
My top priority is ensuring everyone's safety. For this reason, all dogs in my care will stay on leash while in unfenced areas. If I observe a potential safety hazard or health concern with your pet, I will share feedback and provide recommendations when I believe intervention is needed. I ask all clients who are traveling to provide an emergency contact and local vet contact info. When temperatures and weather conditions are extreme (85+ degrees, lightning storms, freezing temps, etc) walks and time spent outside will be limited and adjusted accordingly to keep everyone safe. One of the biggest measures of success I hold myself to is your pet(s) enjoying their time with me. To make the most of our time together, I'd love to hear about your pet's preferences, habits, and needs. I'm adaptable and flexible in my approach as I know every pet has its own unique personality, likes and dislikes, and quirks. At the end of a walk or drop-in visit, I will send you a detailed recap of the visit with photos. My ultimate goal is to put all my clients at ease so they can trust that their pets are safe, well cared for, and loved while they are away.
Information Amy S. would like to know about your pet
- What are their favorite activities? Do they enjoy playing with any particular toys? Are they a fan of belly rubs, scratches, or snuggles? - Do they take medication? If so, what type and when should it be administered? - What is their feeding schedule and how much food per serving? - Can they have treats? Do they have any allergies or dietary restrictions? - How often do they go outside? How long are their typical walks? - Do they have any special needs or preferences I should know about? - Who is your emergency contact and how can I reach them? - Who is your local vet? If you will be out of region or unavailable by phone, please provide authorization to your vet for me to seek care in case of emergency.
A typical day
I'm happy to take your pet(s) for an adventure at an area park, trail, or their favorite spot. If your dog is more of a homebody, we can focus the majority of our time on their favorite activities. I'm open and adaptable to meeting them where they're at and making sure they have an enjoyable visit.

Reliable & Responsible Animal Lover
Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Amy! I am a huge animal lover and have spent most of my life with a pet in the home. In 2022 my love of animals (and corporate burnout) led me to transition from a Human Resources/Client Services professional to a Pet Care professional, providing high-quality services to a new kind of client. I've found this career pivot to be a natural fit that allows me to do work that I love and that comes easy to me - loving pets and supporting their people. I'm not just a hobby sitter; I have a pet sitting business and it is insured and bonded. My most recent work in the HR field was with a veterinary healthcare corporation which allowed me to deepen my pet care knowledge. Previously in my hometown community, I volunteered and fostered at the local SPCA as well as a local pet rescue group. I've been supporting Rover clients and their pets since September 2022. I had pet cats in my early childhood that I helped care for and dogs throughout my lifetime. I am experienced with supporting reactive dogs with careful observation of our surroundings while on our walks, planning ahead, and intervening when necessary to keep everyone safe. I'm experienced in canine and feline medication administration.
Reviews

Amy met my dog and they immediately connected. She listened and took notes about how I walk her and the particulars of her behavior. Very good and helpful communication, check-in and reports.

Amy is amazing and always takes good care of our boy! She took care of him for a long trip and we had no issues or concerns the entire 2 week trip! She kept us updated during/after each visit the entire time and went above and beyond during the visits!

Amy was fantastic and gave great updates for my pups! Highly recommend!!

Amy is great and our Ginger loves her!
