Availability

I work from home doing a typical 8 to 5 job, but can have a relatively flexible schedule as needed and for the right situation. I can almost always come out for dog walks during lunch or after work. I have a lot of animals of my own so most of my extra time goes into taking care of them, but I used to do Rover a while ago and loved it so would like to find some visits to do here and there for the right situation! :)

Information Amy S. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know if your pup: - has any allergies - has any health trouble - is food, dog, or human aggressive - has any diet restrictions - what their favorite activities are - how far they usually walk - if they are up to date on regular vaccines - if they are sick

A typical day

My personal dogs love a combination of sun bathing on the deck and playing outside in the yard. We use a lot of different toys and food-toys for mental stimulation during the day as well. Walks and training are also done regularly!

Pet care experience

I will love your pups just as much as my own :) I have experience caring for my own special needs dogs and gained valuable knowledge from working as a Veterinary Assistant at a specialty veterinary hospital. I adopted my dog B over 10 years ago when I found him as a stray in the mountains. He is the best boy and has since beat lymphoma and going on his third year cancer-free! My dog Amelia was rescued from Tortola in the British Virgin Islands as a “potcake puppy” aka a street dog. And our youngest dog Ava is a Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy who just turned a year old. I also have experience with horses, chickens, ducks, rabbits, cats, reptiles, birds, etc. if you happen to have any other animals needing care. I love keeping pet-parents updated throughout my visit by sending plenty of pictures or videos. My priority is to keep your fur-kids happy and safe while you’re away!

Amy is phenomenal! She watched our pups for three days and was extremely communicative with lots of photos and videos during each visit with them. She also came over ahead of time to meet our pups and make sure they were comfortable with her before our trip. One of our dogs has special medical needs and requires medication on a specific schedule, and Amy was always very consistent and ensured they were given on time. She is so nice and we felt very comfortable leaving our fur babies in her care. We will absolutely book with Amy whenever we go out of town!!
