Welcome to Prairie Rose Animal Care! I’ve been around animals my whole life: everything from small indoor pets like cats and dogs to farm animals and livestock. This has given me a strong foundation in understanding different species and their unique needs. I’m confident working with pets of all ages and temperaments, including energetic puppies and senior pets who may need extra time, care, and attention. What sets me apart is my calm, patient approach and my ability to adapt to each pet’s personality. I have experience caring for pets with anxiety and know how to provide a soothing, stable environment to help them feel safe and comfortable. I’m also comfortable administering oral medications or topical treatments as needed, and I’m always happy to follow specific care instructions closely. I treat every animal like part of my own family, and I’m committed to giving them the same love, routine, and attention they’re used to at home. Regular updates and photos are part of the package, so you can feel confident your pet is happy, healthy, and well cared for while you’re away. My home is a safe and welcoming environment for both cats and dogs. I have a fully fenced yard with secure locking gates, allowing pets to enjoy supervised outdoor time safely. Inside, I’ve taken steps to pet-proof the space to prevent accidents, injuries, or exposure to anything harmful. I tailor care based on each pet’s needs, making sure they feel comfortable, loved, and secure: whether they’re staying with me or I’m visiting them in their home. Safety, routine, and lots of affection are always my top priorities.

Amy is absolutely wonderful! She cared for my two fur-babies, Taz and Batman, on very short notice and handled everything with ease. From the start, she asked all the questions to make sure she understood their needs and routines. Amy was reliable and punctual for all four visits, and I always looked forward to the photos and detailed updates she sent. It gave me complete peace of mind knowing my cats were safe, happy, and loved while I was away. I would highly recommend Amy to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable pet sitter!

Harmonogram
I currently work full-time for the Government of Alberta, and am available around my work schedule, as well as my lunch break. While in my care, your pets will be used to the natural routine of a 8am-5pm work day, as well as the luxury of being checked on, let outside and given attention at various points throughout the day.
