Information Amy S. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your pup has any issues with other dogs, unique behaviors or quirks that make them who they are, and any food or treat preferences—including restricted diets. The more I understand your dog’s needs, the better I can provide safe, comfortable, and attentive care.

A typical day

I shape each walk around your dog’s unique needs and personality. High‑energy pups get a lively route with structured sniff breaks and a chance to burn off excitement, while senior or shy dogs enjoy quiet streets, a gentle pace, and plenty of reassurance. I reinforce any training cues you’re working on to support consistency and confidence. And because connection matters just as much as exercise, I always make time for affection, calm encouragement, and cozy post‑walk cuddles that help your dog feel safe and loved. I also offer thoughtful drop‑in care for feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, and a little extra companionship when your pup needs someone to check in.

Pet care experience

I understand that anxious feeling of trusting someone to walk your precious dog and enter your home. Rest easy—I'm fully background checked and work full-time in a school setting, so you can feel confident that both your home and your beloved pup are in trustworthy, dependable hands. I strive to create a calm, loving, and positive experience for every dog I care for. Walking dogs is never a chore for me—it's something I genuinely look forward to. I love being outdoors and giving dogs the opportunity to sniff, explore, and enjoy their walk at their own pace while always keeping safety my top priority. I've spent a lifetime around dogs. Growing up on a small farm, our family always had multiple dogs of different breeds, and we welcomed stray dogs whenever we could. As an adult, I've raised and cared for dogs from just 6 weeks old through their senior years, including one who lived to 19. Along the way, I've gained experience with medications, ear infections, special diets, behavioral challenges, leash reactivity, and caring for senior dogs with canine cognitive dysfunction. I enjoy teaching dogs new tricks and hand-signal commands, and I'm very comfortable reading canine body language. Whether your dog is shy, energetic, stubborn, or simply needs a patient handler, I know how to build trust, recognize when to give them space, and provide calm, confident leadership on every walk. One of my favorite compliments comes from repeat clients who tell me their dogs start whining with excitement when they see me pull up. Knowing your dog is genuinely happy to spend time with me is the greatest compliment I could receive. You'll receive detailed updates and plenty of photos after every visit, so you'll always know your best friend is safe, happy, and well cared for. Drop-In Visits Your pets deserve to feel safe and loved while you're away, and you deserve complete peace of mind. I understand how difficult it can be to leave your pets and allow someone into your home. My goal is to make that decision an easy one by providing dependable, compassionate care you can trust. During every visit, I'll follow your pet's routine as closely as possible, providing fresh food and water, potty breaks, playtime, cuddles, enrichment, medications if needed, and lots of love and attention. I take the time to understand each dog's unique personality and adjust my care to help them feel comfortable and secure. Having cared for dogs throughout every stage of life—from playful puppies to beloved seniors—I have experience with medications, special diets, behavioral concerns, mobility issues, ear care, and canine cognitive dysfunction. I'm attentive to changes in behavior and always communicate anything I notice so you stay informed while you're away. I also treat your home with the same care and respect I would my own. For drop-in clients, I'm happy to bring in mail and packages, water plants, adjust lights or blinds, and provide other basic home care tasks to help keep everything looking lived in and running smoothly. After every visit, you'll receive thoughtful updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pets are happy, your home is secure, and everything is exactly as it should be. My goal is simple: to provide the kind of care I would want for my own dogs and home.

Amy was great! She gave detailed reviews on all of pets and my house was immaculate when we got home! My pets tend to be a lot of work, not always using the litter box, and she went above and beyond cleaning up after them. It made coming home so much easier than usual. I highly recommend Amy!

Amy was absolutely perfect! I was very nervous about using a professional pet sitter! I've never boarded my tiny pups and I've never used anyone other than close friends/ family to watch my pups. She instantly put me at ease and was pleasant and transparent throughout the entire process. She explained everything clearly, allowed for a meet and greet, and sent me plenty of photos and videos throughout the couple of days she sat for my pups. Furthermore, price was very reasonable. I have zero complaints! I will most definitely use her again if she's available. Thanks Amy!! ❤
