Safety, trust & environment
I’m very respectful and mindful of being in someone else’s home. I take a proactive approach to pet care by anticipating needs and potential issues before they arise. I always follow your instructions closely and care for your pet as if they were my own, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for in their familiar environment.
Information Amy S. would like to know about your pet
I like to know as much as possible about your pet ahead of time so I can provide the best care. This includes their daily routine, feeding schedule, favorite activities, any medications or health concerns, and how they interact with people or other animals. I also appreciate knowing if your pet is shy, fearful, or has any habits (like chewing or escaping) so I can approach them safely and keep them comfortable. The more I know, the more I can tailor my care to make your pet happy and stress-free while you’re away.
A typical day
A typical day is centered around your pet’s routine and personality. We start with morning check-ins, feeding, potty breaks, and some gentle play or a walk to get the day going. Throughout the day, I provide companionship, enrichment, and mental stimulation—whether that’s playtime with toys, exploring new smells on a walk, or just relaxing together. For dogs, fun activities include long walks, sniff breaks, backyard play, basic enrichment games, and plenty of cuddles. For cats, that may mean interactive play with wand toys, window watching, treat puzzles, or quiet companionship for those who prefer a calmer day. In the evenings, we wind down with dinner, another walk or play session, and lots of attention to help your pet feel safe and settled. I always tailor activities to your pet’s age, energy level, and preferences so they have a fun, comfortable, and stress-free day.

Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs and have cared for them through every stage of life, including their senior years. There’s truly nothing better than the love of a dog, and I can’t wait to explore all the new smells with your pup! I offer both in-home sitting and long walks, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I understand that being away from your pet can be difficult—for both you and them—so my goal is to provide loving care, attention, and enrichment to help them feel safe and happy while you’re gone. I’m also experienced with pets who may be shy or fearful around new people. I always approach animals in a gentle, calm, and non-threatening way, allowing them to build trust and feel comfortable at their own pace.

Reviews

Amy was an amazing pet sitter for our Siberian Husky and two kitties!! All with separate needs and challenges, she handled everything with ease and confidence so we could enjoy a much needed vacation!! Amy did a wonderful job and I recommend her highly!!

Amy is great with my cat. He is much happier when I get home after her visits.

Amy was absolutely incredible with Thor, Arya, and Binx while I was away. She was so sweet, responsive, attentive, and truly loved my babies like they were her own. She even took Thor to the emergency vet for me when something unexpected came up, and I genuinely cannot express how grateful I am for the care and kindness she showed throughout everything. Coming home to happy, loved, well cared for pets meant the world to me. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone without hesitation.
