I've been retired for several years and I live alone.. I don't have a lot on my schedule so I want to take care of dogs to fill my daya and evenings with furry friends to love and play with. I keep water available for them and always have treats on hand (if they are allowed).

I have a dog friendly home and a screened in front porch as well as a fully fenced front yard. Your much loved dog will be very safe at my home as well as cared for. I only have one dog, so once they get to know each other, they can play together both inside and outside. I only care for small and medium size dogs and only one family at a time, so that you know your pet is very safe here. Looking forward to meeting you and your best friend.

I would need to know dogs name, date of birth, Vet's name, location and phone #. Customers name, address, phone #, work location, & emergency contact. Have owner pay in advance (preferably in cash). Bring dogs favorite toy. Drop off and pick up time, any illnesses of dog, past and present, any current medications (times and dosages), When the dog eats and have owner bring food if dog is going to be at my home during feeding time. All of dogs normal routines (eating, sleeping, treats, & potty). How is dog used to sleeping (on a dog bed, cage, floor??
A typical day
Watching dogs both inside and outside, in the fenced yard. Tossing the ball or stick and playing tug-of-war. Gerally exercising them with regards to their needs. Each dog is different and with that in mind, you have to make certain that they don't get overheated or too tired outside. I always make certain there is enough water available and if the dog is allowed treats, then they will receive one as needed.

I have been loving and caring for dogs since I was a young girl. We always had a dog in the family and I was the one who fed, watered, and did all of the basic care for each of them. I spent a lot of time outside with our dogs, playing toss, catch and tug-of-war, and generally keeping them busy. Going for walks was a big deal back in the day and it was and is good for both of us. When my daughter was young, we would go for walks with her in the stroller and our dog by our side. I also took my service dog on a two month trip across the country. He was safely secured in the back seat, while we drove and then went into all the stops with me. We both had a great time and he enjoyed all the stops as much as I did!! You see, I like to treat dog like people. I believe they understand a lot of what we say to them and I know they love to be petted and scratched, so that's what I do to show each of them love.
