Uptown Doggie Day Care

EXPERIENCED care for your dog in my home. All day love, attention and play!! Safe, large 8ft walled yard, never any kennels or crates unless you bring your own. Pet friendly home, all ages and special need dogs are welcome. Play dates, over nights, long term stays - whatever your needs are - I will make sure your pet is cared for and loved. Dogs are inside and out as they wish through the dog door (I can train them to use the dog door)- on the couch cuddling, in the big yard running and playing or hanging out in the sun or shade. Great SOCIALIZATION opportunity. SO much better than a concrete kennel for your dogs emotional health and social life!! ***I also specialize in special needs short faced breeds such as Pugs & Frenchies *** I can take dogs up to 20 pounds and can make rare exceptions for for larger VERY mellow dogs that are well socialized with small dogs. I take a limited amount of clients at a time so everyone is ensured lots of attention and love:) But this also means I book up VERY QUICKLY - SO PLEASE CALL IN ADVANCE TO RESERVE A SPOT IF NEEDED?! I have 15 years experience and am a passionate animal advocate and volunteer, rescuing and fostering dogs for many years. **For everyone's safety & comfort, I cannot take dogs without a prior meet & greet before any stay** Drop off and Pick up anytime between 6am to 6pm Contact me for and a meet and greet Thank you!!!

We have found a gem in Amy. We felt very confident after our meet and greet that she was going to take very good care of our two Shih Tzu’s. Our weekend away was less stressful not having to worry whether or not they were in good hands. Thank you!!

Amy showed our dog compassion and care beyond anyone could ever ask for. Our dog Neko isn’t the easiest, but with Amy’s calm demeanor and love for dogs, we felt our dog was in the best of hands. We would gladly go back anytime we needed care.

Thanks to Amy for helping watch our little Gus. Amy is wonderfully compassionate with dogs and with her experience we were so comfortable leaving him with her. He clearly enjoyed his time with her and her dogs! Thank you!

Safety, trust & environment

I have a large walled yard (8 ft high) that dogs have access to 24/4 via a dog door. Dogs are on the couch (has doggie stairs), sleep in the bed w/ me (has doggie stairs). I do play dates, short term and long term boarding and have over 10 years of experience in dog behavior. I want this to be a HOME AWAY FROM HOME for your doggies! **For everyone's comfort & safety, I cannot take dogs without a prior meet & greet before any stay**

Pets

A typical day

We usually engage in lots of play with toys and balls. I routinely gather everyone and take walks around the garden/yard (which helps new dogs get to know and be comfortable with the other dogs in a very stress free way) several times a day (weather depending). After dinner, we have more play time then everyone tends to find a spot (couch, dog bed (there are many), floor) and we just relax.

0 to 15 lbs
Amy can host up to 5 pets per night
Please let me know if your pet has any special needs, special diet, allergies (allergies to chicken are very common in short faced breeds), medications or behavioral issues. As I have fostered for many years, I have taken in many dogs that are very shut down, fearful, anxious, have separation anxiety, are not socialized etc. I am happy to work with you & your dog on these issues (usually at no extra charge). If you dog is not spayed or neutered, has agression issues with people or other dogs or is not potty/house trained - We can discuss and see how the meet & greet goes. I may change a small additional fee for these types of issues.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
