Availability

I'm currently taking a short break before starting my role as a veterinary surgeon in September, so I have plenty of flexibility and am available throughout the week during the day and in the evenings. Once I begin work, I plan to continue offering pet care alongside my veterinary career because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals outside of the clinic. I'll always keep my calendar up to date and only accept bookings that I know I can fully commit to, ensuring every pet receives the time, attention and care they deserve.

Safety, trust & environment

Your pet's safety, comfort and happiness are always my top priorities. I live in a spacious flat on a quiet residential estate that backs onto a beautiful nature reserve, providing plenty of opportunities for enjoyable walks in a peaceful environment. I always follow each pet's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, exercise and any medication they require. With my veterinary training I can recognise signs that a pet may not be feeling well and can respond appropriately if any concerns arise. I understand how important trust is when leaving your pet with someone else, so I'll provide regular updates, photos and videos throughout their stay or visit if wanted/needed, giving you complete peace of mind while you're away.

Information Amy R. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know as much as you can about your pet. This will include their normal daily routine, walking and toileting preferences, specific recall or words that you use with them. I would also like to know if they have any intolerances, allergies or fears in order to ensure each pets feels comfortable, secure and well looked after whilst in my care.

A typical day

Seeing as every pet is different I can tailor each day to suit their individual needs based off their age, routine and general personality. This can either be walks in the park or based off where I live through a lovely nature reserve and along the canal with many areas to explore, or plenty of play time in the home and practicing training and tricks. Throughout the day we can engage in walks, play time, enrichment and plenty of love and affection.

Qualified new vet, gentle & caring

Pet care experience

Hello! I am a newly qualified veterinary surgeon with a lifelong love of animals. Alongside my veterinary degree, I worked for almost three years in an out-of-hours vet practice. During this time I supported the clinical team in treating dogs and cats with a wide range of conditions, giving me invaluable experience with pets of all ages, breeds and personalities. I understand that every pet is different. Whether your dog likes a long walk, your puppy is still finding its feet, or your older pet just prefers plenty of cuddles, I'll tailor my care to their individual routine and treat your pet as if they were my own. I'm also confident administering medication if required. My priority is to always make sure your pet feels safe, relaxed and loved while you're away. I can appreciate how important communication is, so I keep owners updated with regular messages, photos and videos, giving you complete peace of mind.
