Pet care experience
Home next to nature trail
There will be no shortage of love bestowed upon your dog in my care. In a perfect world, I would watch dogs full time. Were I ever to be brave enough to leave my dog with someone other than my best friend, I would want it to be with someone who puts in as much effort as possible to make my dog feel like they're having a visit with their best friend. I take whatever time necessary to make them feel comfortable, safe and adored. I have watched dogs in my home for nearly a decade but I am new to house sitting. I work full time from home and am an empty nester, so I am simply looking for some four legged friends to adore and keep me company. I have chosen Rover because I understand the anxiety of leaving a family member behind when I travel and would like to provide other families with the comfort of knowing their pups are well cared for while the family is unavailable. I can't wait to love your dog almost as much as you do.

Amy was so great with our sweet Lemon! We felt super comfortable leaving our pup in her trusted hands and would recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter!! Thank you Amy!

Amy was very loving and sweet with my big senior dog! I am looking forward to using her again!

Great stay with Amy. Highly recommend!

Amy and family are now members of Maggie’s family! I couldn’t be happier with the care and loving they heaped upon her!

Amy was a pleasure to book with! Her daughter Isabel took great care of Kora and Finley. They were both easy to communicate with and made me feel at ease. Highly recommend and would book with her again

Amy was wonderfully flexible as airline delays kept changing the timing of the pickup time we had originally planned. She kept my beloved dog Callie happy, entertained, and cared for. Callie came home happy and content. Amy has a deep understanding and love of dogs, and that made my ability to convey Callie’s unique personality and needs very easy. Her home is very dog-welcoming, and her family members all are eager to offer warm hospitality to visiting dogs.

Schedule
I currently work from home full time. I have joint custody of my own dog, Otis, who is 10 and gets along with everyone. The dogs that I am fortunate enough to care for get first priority.

I take whatever time is needed to make the dog comfortable with me and in my home. I know I'm doing my job when my dog, Otis, gets a little jealous.

A typical day
I work from home only 6 hours per day so have all the time in the world to love on your dog. I typically take a long walk in the morning. My dog usually goes 3-4 miles, but I can obviously cater that to the needs of the dog. I have the flexibility for frequent bathroom breaks if need be and I like to do a shorter walk in the afternoon.

- It is important to us that the dog get along with Otis. He has rarely met a dog he doesn't "tolerate", as he is pretty anti-social. I ask for all of the details from their normal routine to their potty cadence. I like to keep them on as normal a schedule as possible.
