Active, trustworthy pet sitters!
Hello everyone! We are Amy & Martin, a married couple in our thirties living in Mississauga, ON. We adore animals and found raising our beloved german shepherd, Jax, the most rewarding experience of our lives. We tragically lost our dog to cancer in July of 2024 after 13 amazing years with him by our side. While we may not be ready to have our own just yet, we are very excited about the prospect of welcoming your pets into our home and showing them the same love we were able to give him. We have 15 years of experience caring for the pets of friends, neighbors, and family. We have successfully and enjoyably acted as caregivers to up to 3 dogs and a cat at once, while watching other's pets together with our own. We continue to enjoy raising our very friendly kitty, Puc, but truly miss the company of our huge pooch, and welcome an opportunity to fill our home with the special company only dogs can bring. We are active, trustworthy, and highly communicative. We will do all we can to keep you updated and calm while away from your pet. We know very personally how hard it is to leave your beloved family member in the hands of a stranger, and will go above and beyond to ensure you and your pet feel safe. Amy was amazing. Buckley had a great time and met her cat. The meeting went really well except he didn't understand why the cat didn't want to play. Other than doggy daycare with tons of dogs this was the first time he was left with someone who was unfamiliar and he was fine. He was his usual happy self when we came to pick him up. Would recommend 100%.
Amy was very caring and attentive with Blue! We were relaxed knowing he was in good hands, and look forward to trusting our doodle with her again

Amy and Martin are awesome! Lovely people who genuinely care about animals. Amy was super conscious to mind all the rules and training while walking our guide dog, and our girl returned from her walk thrilled! Thrilled and pooped! She was calm and happy the rest of the day. Amy and Martin are an incredible find for us and we will definitely be using their services again.

Schedule
We spend most of our evenings and weekends at home enjoying our own backyard and I (Amy) work from home during the week, ensuring your pet is rarely left alone in the home and always has good company.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a large fenced-in yard complete with an inground pool your pooch is also welcome to enjoy if he/she is a fan of swimming! We have experience caring for medically-complicated animals as well, and can ensure all their needs are met safely and on time. We are active and enjoy hiking or visiting lakes/beaches for the day. We are happy to plan a trip and take your dog along with us if this suits their activity level. We are able to do walks and potty breaks throughout the day according to your dogs needs. We offer a spacious 3 bedroom home, and two vacant bedrooms both equipped with queen beds, should your dog prefer their own space to retreat to. We have a high attention to detail and can keep track of all the expectations you have of us in caring for your special family member.
Pets
A typical day
We are home for large portions of the day and are able to play with your dogs between work meetings at home. After 430 pm, we love to enjoy the backyard or explore our neighborhood. We have a large park by our home with fenced-in tennis courts we can let your dog off-leash in if you would like. We also live a short walk away from the credit valley river and enjoy spending time in the trees enjoying the sounds and sights of nature. We also love staying home and cuddling up to a movie with pets, should your pet be lower energy.

- Please let us know if your dog has any behaviors that we may need to be aware of up front (chewing on pillows, clothing, etc), and if your dog is friendly with other animals or needs to be kept away while we walk. We strive to keep dogs in their same routine as home so please share any details of their walk, potty break, and feeding schedules. We are happy to continue training regimens if your dog is still learning and needs some practice, but please give us clear direction on your expectations - we will ensure we follow through!
