Now offering $20 off house sitting bookings! 🙂 Hi! I am a university professor and certified public school teacher currently housesitting on the side. I have been housesitting for friends' pets ever since high school. In college, I worked for a dog walking business and provided housesitting, dog walks, and drop-in visits, as well as doggie boarding to more than 10 dogs at a time. My husband, Graham, is a fellow animal lover and pet sits with me to ensure that your fur babies receive attention all day long. Graham has been caring for animals since high school as well, ranging from small tea cup puppies to large dogs. He also has extensive experience caring for service animals, both his own service animals and others’. In the summer I only work about 15 hours a week. Graham works from home, so you will have sitters with your pets all throughout the day! I had my own pup, Precious, until she passed away 3 years ago. She developed renal failure in her senior years, so I have experience dressing dogs in diapers and taking care of senior dogs. I was also the foster parent for a cat for several months and have extensive cat sitting experience, including injecting insulin. We specialize in caring for families with several animals with differing feeding routines. Any complexity of routine is good for us! I also have experience with unusual pets and have been the sole caretaker for my friends' alpacas for the last 1.5 years! I’m also very comfortable helping with chickens. :)

We are sure to follow your instructions to the letter and communicate proactively if something seems off with your pet. We will also send you regular updates about how your pet is doing. We also make sure to give your pets some quality attention and love to provide some stimulation throughout the day.

My two cats may just love Amy more than me. She is a great sitter, so in sync with the pets she cares for, when I come back after Amy and her finace stay, Lily and Kelli are completly settled and content - there is zero stress or separation anxiety. She of course feeds them, sends great photos, etc. But she also has a genuine love of animals that you can sense, and animals absolutely love it. Amy is my first choice for sitter every time and she is sought after so I highly recommend you jump on her calendar and book as soon as possible!

LOVE AMY!! This is the third time she's watched our dogs (she watched them twice a year ago). She keeps us up to date, communicates clearly, and goes the extra mile. I knew our dogs were healthy, happy, and safe! Which means a lot for a nervous dog mom that has had bad experiences on Rover... I could tell she vacuumed before she left, she washed towels she used to clean the dogs muddy paws, watered our plants, and she put new sheets on the bed to be ready for us when we got home.

Schedule
In the summer I mostly work from home, with the exception of about 15 hours a week. However, Graham works from home, so you will have sitters all throughout the day. Although we work while at your house, we pause regularly to play with the dogs/cats, exercise them if needed, feed them, and give them some attention. :) We love to pause what we’re doing for some puppy or kitty love!
