Safety, trust & environment
We have a fenced in yard, dog-friendly neighborhood, no pets at the moment and no children living with us. We have a non-smoking home environment. Will consider boarding multiple dogs, preferably if they are from the same family or familiar with one another.

Information Amy M. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog is comfortable seeing other dogs on walks or if your dog prefers to avoid them, gets fearful or aggressive. Then, we will take alternate routes :)
A typical day
The back yard and garden are often a nice place to explore and helps the dogs to relax in a new home. The level and type of play really depend on your pet’s preference. Tennis balls and regular fetch seems to be a winner for the herding dogs. The fields and mile-around track locally make for a nice place to walk and lots of new things to sniff.

Pet care experience
Pets are our family, and I know it isn’t easy to leave them. But, I will love them like they were mine, and enjoy sending photos to folks for updates. I help train and encourage them. And, if you have a special needs or elderly dog, I am experienced with managing that kind of care. Annapolis has great parks and walking paths close by. I have an annual pass to Quiet Water Park, which has many options for dogs of all socialization levels. I am Red Cross Cat and Dog First Aid Certified. I also support the Mid-Atlantic Border Collie Rescue (MABCR). If you are in a last minute pinch and can't find someone to care for your dog, reach out and I will double check my schedule or help find another Rover recommendation.
Reviews

Amy is truly the best! I’ll reach out to her the next time I’m in Annapolis, without question. My dog had such a good time at her home that I felt bad separating them at the end of the day.

Thank you so much for taking such good care of our fur babies so we could have a stress free afternoon!
I cannot say enough great things about Amy! She took such wonderful care of my senior dog, Kylie, and truly made the experience stress-free for both of us. From the start, Amy was incredibly accommodating—her home was clean, welcoming, and perfectly set up for an older dog who needs a bit more comfort and calm. What really stood out was how sensitive and attentive she was to Kylie’s needs. She understood the slower pace and extra care an older dog requires, and I could tell Kylie felt safe and loved in her care. As someone who can get a bit anxious leaving my dog behind, Amy completely put my mind at ease. She sent me daily updates along with the sweetest photos of Kylie looking happy and relaxed. Knowing my dog was in such good hands made all the difference. I highly recommend Amy to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog sitter—especially if you have a senior pup who needs that extra bit of attention.

Amy is a wonderful host for my friend Princess. She is very responsible and caring. Love her!
