Hi! My name is Amy, and as the owner of a rescue dog and an animal caregiver of almost a decade, I know every pet is an individual that deserves patience and kindness. I provide trustworthy, compassionate care and regular updates while you’re away! I volunteer at Midcoast Humane, have worked with certified trainers and veterinary technicians, and have handled dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I use positive reinforcement and fear-free methods to form a long-lasting, trusting relationship with your dog.

I use fear free techniques to ensure your dog is confident and relaxed in my care. Slow, positive introductions and gentle care is my specialty. For large, strong, and high energy dogs, I will run and play with them to match their intensity! My goal at the end of my visit if for you to have an enriched, content dog.

Amy was great with Maddy, who is an excited, energetic dog. Amy was calm and easy-going and really gave Maddy a good work-out on her walk. I really appreciated her attitude and commitment!
Amy was fantastic! I felt very comfortable leaving my dogs with her. She was responsive and my dogs and house seemed well taken care of, would definitely book again!
Amy was excellent with Ollie. She sent photos and a report after every visit and I could tell from the photos that Ollie liked her… he is usually stand-offish with strangers. Came home to clean counters, clean litter-box, rinsed out cat food cans in the recycling bin, and a happy cat. Will definitley ask Amy to care for Ollie in the future.
Amy was so wonderful! I trust her completely with my baby Frenchie. We will definitely be booking Amy again!
Amy truly went above and beyond for our dog, Finn. He can be a little shy at first and she took the time to gain his trust and meet him where he was at. She was very communicative and kept us in the loop about everything. I felt comfortable knowing that my dog was in good hands and will happily have Amy come for future visits.
Amy was fantastic with our dogs Guin and Lenny over two visits. She was communicative and thorough every time, sending photos and detailed updates after each drop-in so we always knew how the pups were doing. She took the time to build trust with Lenny, who’s a bit shy at first, and made real progress with him over just two visits — he was scooting closer and taking treats from her hand by the second day. She followed our instructions closely and even handled pee/poop tracking and yard time exactly as we asked. Highly recommend her — will definitely book her again!

Schedule
I am currently a full-time student with half of my classes online, so I have lots of flexibility for morning, afternoon, or evening care.

- I’d like to know if your dog struggles with resource-guarding, handling, leash walking, or any other behaviors that require special attention. Please let me know your primary vet and preferred emergency vet, and if your dog is NOT vaccinated for Rabies.
