Hi, my name is Amy and I’m a teacher who is off for the summers in July and August. I live in the Hintonburg area of Ottawa and have had pets all my life. I have several years of experience looking after pets for friends and neighbours, and more recently, clients on Rover. I am a responsible and loving pet sitter/walker who can provide extremely high quality care of your pets and home. I am able to bond with animals very quickly and will always treat your pets as though they are my own. Everything was perfect which is not easy with two big dogs and two cats. Pets were all super well taken care of, all instructions were followed and house was left cleaner than I left it.
Amy was great, she sent me pictures and updates regularly. I know my dog enjoyed her time with her.

Amy was again an excellent sitter for our energetic labradoodle. This time she stayed with him a full week - she sent us awesome pictures and regular updates, and always asked if she wasn’t sure about something he could have or do. Her transparency and communication made us feel SO comfortable all week. Also, we came home to a spotless house and a happy pup. Will rebook with Amy as many times as we can!

Schedule
During the school year, I have weekend availability, and in July and August I am off work and have ample time to provide care for your pets. When pet-sitting, my first priority is to give your pet all of the time and attention that they deserve.

Safety, trust & environment
I will ensure to provide the best quality of care for your pets by making them feel at home. I live in an apartment building with lots of grass directly outside and parks nearby. I will ensure to take your pets out as often as needed to ensure that they are comfortable.
A typical day
I will ensure to take your pet on multiple walks a day, depending on their needs and am also happy to snuggle on the couch at home if that’s what they prefer. I will adapt to your dogs needs and provide them lots of love and attention while they are in my care.
