Availability
I currently work a hybrid schedule full-time during the week 8am - 5pm, so I'm available after that in the Portland area and on the weekends. I am also able to stop by before 8am or over my lunch break around noon depending on location. Most days of the week I could also be available to stay overnight at your home if needed.

Safety, trust & environment
I can crate your dog during the day or at night if needed and stick to whatever your pup's schedule is for meals, any meds, play, walks, and sleep - as long as it aligns with my availability. The same is also true for kitties.
Information Amy L. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know about any special needs your fur baby may have. While I have worked with some reactive dogs in the past, I am not a reactive dog trainer, by any means, and would definitely want to have this information upfront to be able to make an informed decision. For dogs I will want to do a meet-and-greet with you and your pup before we decide to move forward with the booking.
A typical day
I love to give dogs and cats the type of attention and stimulation that they need, whether that's play, walks, or pets and belly rubs. I'll look to you as the expert and try to keep their routine consistent.

Pet care experience
In my own pet parent and fostering experience, I've cared for dogs and cats of all different ages and unique needs. I've trained puppies and carefully worked with reactive dogs. I have also cared for foster kittens with all kinds of illnesses from living on the street, as well as old kitties with a different set of senior needs. Please note that I only use positive reinforcement training methods and will not punish a pet or use aversive training methods. Punishment and aversive methods can contribute to a pet developing or worsening fear and/or aggressive behavior.

Reviews

Amy was a wonderful sitter to our 7 cats! She came by for a meet and greet ahead of time and was very friendly. She was very proactive and responsive with communication. She sent lots of photos of the cats which helped us feel much better about leaving them. She also did a great job handling our 18yr old cat and cleaning up a few unpleasant messes the cats left. We will reach out to her again when we need a sitter!

Great sitter! Professional and great communication. Our pets were very happy.

Amy took great care of our 2 cats on short notice. They're both super shy but they were already warming up to her at the meet n’ greet. She even double-scooped the litterbox (they love that)! Highly recommended!

Amy was so sweet and patience with my cat! Amy has tons of experience and was always warm and welcoming even when my cat was a butthole 🫠 She gave great tips to help with my cat's anxiety. Definitely recommend:)
