'Dogs are better than humans'- our household motto

We are a sociable, friendly, outgoing couple who are dog enthusiasts. We enjoy weekend walks, trips to the peak district, camping weekends away, and dog sitting for many many friends. No children or dogs of our own in our home. We have spent the last 7+ plus years caring for our closest friends dogs, and every time they leave we've been left thinking of the next time our home will be graced with a four legged friend. So we thought it only right to introduce more doggy's to our cosy home. Our home is a safe space where your all dogs are welcome on the furniture, in our small grass garden, or even on our bed (as per your rules). To date we have cared for Spaniels, Cockapoos, Patterdale Terriers, Daschunds, Miniature Cockapoos and Silky Cockers. We always ask their pawrents for their dietary requirements, feeding schedules, walking schedules, any likes and dislikes. To keep in line with all their own house rules. Your dog will be walked regularly, with special trips to the peaks, and trips out in the car to surrounding villages and walking routes. You will be kept up to date with regular pupdates and photos. We look forward to making more furry friends soon! 😊🐾

They were brilliant looking after our dachshund while we were away. Kept us updated everyday and sent plenty of pictures. Nice knowing she was well looked after and we could enjoy our holiday. Thank you both for looking after her, wouldn’t hesitate to use them again x

Our first time using this service and it comes with some trepidation leaving your favourite child ;(we have 3 of those horrible human types too) with strangers. However from the first message and inviting us around with Rufus for a house visit, at which he disgraced himself, which I am ashamed to say, yet Amy was still happy to take care of him whilst we were off getting married! Over the visit everything went really smoothly and we were updated with how was doing and received many pictures of him having the time of his life (half we a sleep in various positions). It sounds like he was contributing to their office based pub quiz as well! Although I'm not sure he knows many answers I'm and certain he would happy form an alliance again with them in the future.

Highly recommend! Amy made me feel so at ease leaving our two Dachshunds. She sent lots of photos and they looked so cosy and settled quickly. You couldn’t ask for more, a perfect home from home. Thank you so much to both of you x

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We can’t recommend Amy enough! They were absolutely amazing with our energetic cocker spaniel puppy, Rocko. From the moment we dropped him off, it was clear he was in great hands. They went above and beyond to make sure he was happy, entertained, and well cared for — plenty of walks, playtime, and cuddles! We got regular updates and photos, and Rocko looked like he was having the time of his life. He came home tired, happy, and clearly adored his stay. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our little whirlwind! 🐾

Amy has looked after my two year old Patterdale Terrier Nell on several occasions, often including a sleepover. Nell is always happy to go & I am always happy to leave her content with the knowledge that she is receiving the best care. Her normal routine is usually followed, however if Amy feels that Nell is feeling a little anxious she makes allowances to accommodate & make Nell feel more settled. Amy's home is in a great location, just off the motorway but close to open countryside with plenty of great walks on the doorstep. There is a garden where Nell can play out happily & securely. All in all it us,a real home from home where Nell feels secure, loved & is always kept happily entertained.

Schedule

I currently work from home Monday - Friday, with the odd local community visit. Meaning I am home all day most days, with some days where I may be out of the home for a maximum of 3 hours. My partner works Monday - Friday as an engineer with some days WFH too. We spend our evenings on local walks in woodland, fields, and parks. We have access to lovely walking routes on our doorstep, including the peak district national park. Our weekends are spent in the peak district and locally, walking through hills, forests and fields. Sometimes with a pub trip included.

A typical day

Typical day would be a 6.30AM / 7AM walk, followed by midday / lunch short stroll. Evenings and weekends would involve a walk in the Peak District, a trip to the hills in the car, or local walks around Grenoside, Wortley and Birdwell with woodland and fields to explore. There will be many sofa cuddles and snuggles throughout the day and evening in between.
