It’s important for me to know each pet’s routine, personality, energy level, and any medical or behavioral needs they may have. I also like to know what they enjoy (and don’t enjoy), if they get along with other animals, and how they do on walks or around new people. The more I know, the better I can make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for!
A typical day
I keep pets active and entertained with plenty of fun activities like daily walks, fetch, tug-of-war, and exploring parks or trails (if they enjoy that). I also love engaging them with enrichment games, and lots of cuddles or one-on-one attention. For quieter pets, I stick to calm companionship and gentle play. I always match the activities to each animal’s personality, age, and energy level to keep them happy and comfortable.

Pet care experience
I’ve loved animals my whole life and grew up with just about every pet you could think of. I have several years of experience walking dogs, pet sitting, and caring for pets of all sizes and personalities. I’m comfortable giving medication, handling basic training, and making sure pets feel safe, happy, and loved. I’m reliable, patient, and always keep owners updated while their pets are in my care!

Amy is amazing with dogs! She had a natural connection with my dog, Annie from the first time they met. Annie spins in circles when she sees her and they are off for a walk or to play. I highly recommend Amy Lucas as a dog walker or sitter!
Amy takes amazing care of my old doggie Millie! (Papillon / 13yrs) I couldn’t ask for someone more dependable and kind. She’s attentive and has a natural connection with animals, which was so comforting to see firsthand. Millie always seems to get excited whenever she gets to spend time with Amy :) My favorite go-to pet sitter!
Where do I even begin! I have never left my babies (2 y/o French bulldog and 2 senior cats) under anyone’s super vision before. I had a family emergency come up and had to go out of town for the week and was so anxious to have someone else care for them. Amy reassured me multiple times and even kept me updated throughout the time I was gone. When I returned my babies looked happy, healthy, and active! I wouldn’t trust anyone but Amy to look after them because I know she is a responsible and attentive sitter! As many of you know, that’s not easy to find!
