Availability
I am regularly a house cleaner who runs her own business in the local area, so this gives me the opportunity to be available to pet owners and their pet's needs. I currently care for 4 different family's pets throughout the year and have rarely come into a scheduling conflict. I like to give people the freedom they need in their life while not having to worry about their pet's needs.

Safety, trust & environment
I do not currently have the space to care for other people's pets in my home but am willing to stay in their home overnight to accommodate their needs. I like to have the pet owners make a list of things I should know about their pets. This could be special needs, dos and don'ts, typical schedule for feeding, bedtime, etc., pet's favorite spot to lay or toy to play with. That way the pet(s) can stay closer to what they know for lower stress.
Information Amy K. would like to know about your pet
Reading the pets body language and making sure they are comfortable while their people are away, is my number one priority. Its stressful on our furry companions when not only their family leaves the home but also when a new person comes into that space. Getting them to a relaxed state can be done in several ways. Some of the techniques I have used is sitting close to them and letting them lay next to me, calm music, petting or brushing, giving small treats so they know they can trust me.
A typical day
For active pets we will spend several hours a day in play time. Whether that is indoor doing a game of "hide and seek", tug o' war with their favorite toy, or taking it outside to enjoy nature while getting some exercise. For the pet that is more content being chill, we can snuggle up on the couch, let them relax while being brushed, or leave them be where they are most happy. PLEASE NOTE** If your home is not cleaned prior to me staying, I will charge an additional fee to clean myself. Bathroom and bedroom i will be using is the most important!! Thank you! 😀

Pet care experience
I've had animals a part of my family since I was born. Growing up it was my responsibility to take care of them - feeding, watering, walking, and cleaning up after their messes. I often looked after our neighbors' pets as well. I have experience with large and small dogs, various temperaments of cats, pets in their "baby" phase as well as older pets who need extra care and love. I am good with all breeds of dogs and cats. I like to give each pet time to get comfortable with me before entering into their space. I consider each pet I meet a new friend to bond with over play, walks, and snuggles. :)

Amy is an absolute angel. She goes above and beyond for our pets and they seem to love her as well. We will always hire her if she’s available. Highly recommend

Amy was awesome! Very communicative and took very good care of my baby kitties!

Amy was amazing!! My first time leaving and she made it so much easier. My dog Nyx did so good with her. She’s the best and will hopefully get to work with Amy again if we go somewhere our dog can’t go.

Amy checked in on our two dogs while we had a late night out. She was wonderful, and was even flexible with a last minute time change. Glad to trust someone with our dogs.
