I typically do Constant Care for my housesits, unless I have a previously set appointment that I will disclose to the owner. If that is the case, I will adjust my prices to less. I'm now insured with Pet Care Insurance, and I have also completed Dog CPR and First Aid! While I love all animals, most of my experience has been with dogs. While volunteering at the Humane society, I used to give shelter dogs walks and assisted with socialization playgroups to help alleviate the dogs' kennel stress and help them get more likely to get adopted. I'm hoping to do more with shelters again someday. I have also had dogs of my own, including one who was very reactive to his environment, which I went through training for. I also had some experience in helping my dogs through illness during their lifetime. They were my babies, and I understand how precious pets are to their families. While I can't replace a pet's loved one when they aren't physically around, I want to be there for them during those uncertain times.

I simultaneously enjoy and am challenged by the process of gaining the trust of your pet. I'm trying to learn what I can about animal behavior and find it fascinating. I respect their space when they need that, and I give them affection whenever they want that. I always appreciate getting as much information from the owners as possible, so I know whether the animals have any allergies, or what bothers them, or if they need any special kind of care. My default is that I love texting photos of what your pets are doing, as well as providing frequent updates, but I also understand if you need to be left alone so that you can focus on what you're doing.

Amy J did a great job as our housesitter and pet sitter. We have two Goldendoodle’s who we rarely leave with anyone. The dogs adjusted very well to Amy’s presence. She was calm with the dogs and they very much sensed that. Amy sent pictures of our dogs while we were away. Amy made us all feel comfortable and my husband and I were able to enjoy a few nights away knowing our furbabies were in great hands. We will definitely book Amy again in the future. So grateful for her kindness and care.

Schedule
I update my calendar regularly. Housesitting: I typically only do housesits on Thursdays through Sundays because I have recurring clients during the weekdays and don't like leaving animals I'm housesitting for, unless it's necessary and already ok'ed with the owner. *Exception: I am able to take housesitting requests outside those days and during longer periods on 2 conditions: 1) if the owner is okay with me needing to leave for a couple hours to take care of my other clients on those days. 2) If the owner lives decently close to the Caldwell/Nampa border, because gas is unfortunately too expensive to travel everyday between cities for the days I work with my recurring clients. If you need an exception under those conditions, feel free to send me a request and we can detetmine if I'm able to accommodate :) Walks and Drop-Ins: I generally do walks and drop-ins on Mondays through Thursdays. Lunch has filled up for my schedule, so I'm unable to take new clients at this time of day.
