Safety, trust & environment
I currently live with four cats in my home. They are family pets and though I love them they are more my parents cats. In the past I have been responsible for feeding and caring for both indoor and out door pets. I stay conscious of what my pets feeding and/or walking schedules were like. I also like to know if the pet is a playful one that would like my engagement or a cuddler that likes the snuggles and pets. In the case of new animals that I haven't met before I try to make my introduction as gentle and friendly as possible. I do prefer in the cases of dogs that I meet them first with their owner present so that the dog knows I can be trusted. As for cats I haven't noticed them really caring most of the time. However, I appreciate an introduction if it is possible.
Information Amy J. would like to know about your pet
I mostly like to hear about your pets personality so I can learn how to best adapt to their care routine and make them feel as comfortable with me as possible. I also like to know if they have any dietary needs, medications, and possible behaviors to be aware of. As well as if you have a preferred vet and their information in case a need shall arise.
A typical day
Each animal is unique and I take that into consideration with each one I care for. That being said I adhere to their feeding and exercise schedule and I offer them as many cuddles as they want.

I would have been a Veterinarian
Pet care experience
I always used to say I wanted to be a Veterinarian since I can remember, but with life and all that comes with it, sadly I gave up that dream. However, just because being a Veterinarian didn't work out didn't mean I have given up on my care and love for animals. I have been lucky in being able to care for many cats and dogs in my life time. From tiny new born kittens to a senior dog in her last days, I have cared for many and consider it an honor to have a relationship with an animal.
Reviews

We had a wonderful first-time experience using Rover, and we feel so lucky to have found Amy. She provided frequent updates and photos of our fur baby—just enough to reassure us that he was doing well and give us peace of mind while we were on vacation. Amy truly went above and beyond. She spent quality time cuddling with him, took him on extra walks, and even kindly took out the trash for us. We will definitely be booking Amy again in the future and highly recommend her to our coworkers and friends!

Amy stayed overnight to care for my three dachshunds. My dogs were crazy about her, and that made leaving them a lot easier for me. She’s a kind and competent person I can trust with my babies and home.

Amy did a perfect job while I had to go out of town for the night. Great communication and my two Labs loved her. Definitely hire her again.

Amy was super! She took care of our spoiled and needy dog and our cat for four days. House was kept really clean and animals seemed happy and healthy. We will book her again in the near future.
