Information Amy H. would like to know about your pet

To ensure the best possible care, I ask owners to share any important information about their pet before booking. This includes details about feeding routines, exercise needs, medical conditions, medications, allergies, behavioural traits, and any triggers or fears. Please also let me know about your dog’s training level, recall, social preferences with other dogs or people, and anything that helps them feel safe and comfortable. The more I know about your pet’s personality and routine, the better I can tailor their care and provide a calm, positive experience.

A typical day

Your dog’s day begins with a warm welcome and time to settle in, making sure they feel relaxed and comfortable. Once everyone is ready, we head out for a structured, enjoyable walk tailored to your dog’s age, energy level, and individual needs. Walks focus on safe exercise, positive experiences, and good manners, with plenty of time for sniffing, exploring, and engagement. After the walk, dogs enjoy supervised downtime with access to fresh water, rest areas, and enrichment activities to keep them mentally stimulated. Throughout the day, I maintain calm routines, reinforce positive behaviour, and provide plenty of reassurance and affection. If needed, feeding and basic training reinforcement are included to keep routines consistent with home. The day finishes with quiet time and check-ins, ensuring each dog is relaxed, content, and ready to head home after a fulfilling day of exercise, care, and companionship.

Pet care experience

I’m a dedicated and experienced dog carer with a genuine passion for animal welfare. I have hands-on experience working in a professional dog boarding kennel, where I cared for dogs of all breeds, ages, and temperaments, ensuring their safety, comfort, and daily routines were always met. Alongside this, I have farm experience, giving me a strong understanding of animal behaviour, responsibility, and working with animals in varied environments. I also have experience in dog training, allowing me to support positive behaviour, basic obedience, and confidence-building in dogs while they are in my care. I pride myself on providing calm, reliable, and compassionate care, treating every dog as if they were my own.
