I am a uni student and have been cat sitting since October 2023, I am able to fit cat sitting and dog walking into my daily routine and give the best care possible!

For pop in visits, I prefer to spend 1 hour with the pet so they have some comfort and so I can spot any changes in their behaviour (in case of emergency!) Being around for an hour each visit also helps me build a connection with your animal so they feel more comfortable with me being there. With dog walks I will normally take them to a local field after checking with you beforehand if there is anywhere specific you would like your dog to go. I will walk them for around 50-60 mins with throwing a ball or just a casual stroll to burn off your dogs energy!

With cats I would like to know if there is any areas on your cat that are big no nos for petting. Their personality type - timid, friendly, etc .. Specific things in your daily routine for me to include in my visits, any hiding places I should check. With dogs I would like to know where you normally take them, if there is anywhere they aren’t allowed to go in the house so I can check those doors are shut. Anything specific with their behaviour towards other people and or dogs! Please let me know how comfortable they are off the lead and if they are training with specific calls.
A typical day
Per visit - I normally check each cat is okay and take a photo for the owner, check litter trays, food bowls and water. Then I change and or clean accordingly, I try to give at least 15-20 mins of play for each cat (if they are interested) With dogs I will make sure their water bowls are full for when they return to the house and make sure there is no mess to report to the owner! Then we will go to the nearest field and I will let them run around or chase a ball around (if they are interested)

Hi! My name is Amy and I am currently a uni student at gloscol, I study art and have a 16 year old rehomed cat called fluffy! She is a feisty mare and has a massive personality. I am 21 years old and I have had 3 pet cats in my life plus a dog and hamster, I love animals :) I wanted to start cat sitting as a way to make money while being a student and what better way then to spend time with some cuddly animals, I am also now branching out into the dog walking world as my mum used to board and walk dogs! I used to have a 12 year old Schnauzer named Archie as I am also experienced with older dogs as well as cats!
