I mostly work from home, but I do spend a few hours a week working at an athletic club (free membership!) and I sing in a band that gigs about twice a week. So while I spend more time home than away, I do have a varied yet flexible schedule. My long-time significant other, Mike, can usually be relied upon if my schedule ever gets too wonky!

Safety, trust & environment
Any pets that I care for will be handled according to their owner's needs: whether it's in my home or the owner's, I require a full run-down of what's permitted (crating needs/furniture allowances/permissible food), and I also require all pets to be up-to-date on vaccinations, medications and flea preventions. When in my care, they will be kept on leash when outside the home (unless they are in a fenced backyard). I will not take them to dog parks, rather we will go to open spaces and dog-friendly patios, where they will remain on leash. Unless otherwise noted, they would have full access to the house and furniture as there are no other pets currently in my home.

Information Amy G. would like to know about your pet
As mentioned earlier, I need to know all the dos and don'ts that your pet has to abide by, as well as a full listing of any medications and concerns. Beyond that, what does a normal schedule look like for your pet? Are they scared of anything? Do they sometimes have accidents inside?
A typical day
For the doggos, I will lounge and play chuck-it, go for a hike or a snack at a dog-friendly patio! For the kitties, we can scratch a few posts, paw at some feathers, and roll in a little cat-nip!

Pet care experience
Having grown up with both dogs and cats, I have always held a place in my heart for our fur-friends! Spent a number of years volunteering at animal shelters as a web photographer and dog walker before becoming employed as a media spokesperson and marketing coordinator for the shelter. Was trained in the Turken Training for Adoption method by Brian Kilcommons, and can handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments, as well as cats, birds, horses, donkeys, rabbits, and even pet rats! Having lost my heart-dog in 2023, I've been taking my time before adding a new fur-baby to the family. Instead I'm offering my time as a pet-sitter and dog-walker!

Amy does a super good job with our reactive dog!

Amy did a great job watching our highly reactive dog! Not all dog sitters can handle our dog. Highly recommended!

Our third time with Amy and still amazing! My unique hairless dog is happy and comes home tired, his uniqueness is well cared for, great communication throughout, couldn’t ask for more. Thanks!!!!
