Pet care experience

Energetic animal lover/trainer

In elementary school I ran a pet sitting/dog walking business that lasted successfully through my 27 years living in Port Perry. Throughout this time, I also lived in Quebec for 4 years while completing my university degree. Never the less, continuing to babysit animals of all types was a must and I’ve yet to stop. I recently moved from Ontario to Saskatchewan! I’ve grown very familiar with the area and absolutely love to socialize! I’m quite experienced to Rover and very keen to build a solid client base in the Meadow Lake area.

Safety, trust & environment

I can help host your happy fluff friend in your house, condo or apartment and will take into consideration how you interact with them and/or where you prefer them to be walked. Having a large pet friendly Chevy Equinox allows me to take your pup for walks in new areas if cleared by you. Cleanliness and organization are strong traits of mine that will translate into your booking. I will always leave your place as clean as it was when you leave, or cleaner! I take pride in putting the extra effort into my services to keep your place immaculate during a stay.

Amy pet/house sit our dog and cat many times and we were never disappointed. Our pets loved Amy the second they met her. Amy is very friendly, sweet and has a great attitude with a genuine passion for animals. While we were away, she provided us with updates/pictures and upon every return the pets were happy and the house was spotless. We had no hesitations leaving our pets with Amy and we would highly recommend to anyone.

Amy was great- very patient, loving and caring with my dog who isn't great with any other animals. She has a sweet personality and a love for all animals. I felt at ease leaving my dog with her, my first time ever hiring a sitter, through Rover. I would highly recommend her!!

Schedule

Throughout the late spring and summer months, I work as a Wildlife Monitor across Alberta. During the fall, winter and early spring months, I’ll have plenty of time to attend to sitting, walking or drop in visits with your pets. Flexibility is what I’m know for, time wise and also being able to work with reptiles, birds, fish etc. Weekends can be easily accommodated to your needs.

If there are any concerns, needs or special requirements your dog has, it shouldn’t be a problem to deal with upon speaking. I have my full falconry licence and work with birds of prey which are extremely sensitive to any kind of human contact, so I have a phenomenal handle on reading animals. Caring, keeping them safe and ensuring they are comfortable is my top priority, always. I’m also a Type 1 Diabetic so self-administer my own insulin. Any kind of medication your pet needs is no bother - as long as I am aware of how your dog / pet could react. Please feel free to message me about any above related content, I’m always willing to learn how to better suit owners’ needs.
