I love spending time with dogs— always have, always will! I’ve been a pet parent for over 25 years. My last dog passed away in 2021 and since then I’ve been doing house sitting and dog sitting around the country. I also do puppy raising for Guiding Eyes. I have experience with dogs of all sizes from puppyhood to senior care, including medication. My husband and I both work from home so there are two adults available for walks and love!

Schedule
I work from home so I’m glad to welcome well behaved, house trained dogs into my home where they can sit with me and we can take frequent walks around the neighborhood. I’m an empty nester so I have plenty of free time on the weekends to go to the park, beach or woods for a nice long stroll.

Safety, trust & environment
Once I get to know your dog, they will be allowed freedom throughout my house. Crates are fine if that’s what they prefer. I do not allow pets on any furniture or beds.
A typical day
We start every day with a long walk around the neighborhood, including a big hill that tires us out! If it's a weekend, I usually go to Waveny Park, Cove Island or Mianus for a long stroll/hike. My neighborhood is very dog friendlly so there are buddies to greet as we walk during the day. While I work, I hope my furry friend will keep me company or sit with me in the evening while I watch TV and knit. My husband is around too so there is always a second person to watch the dog if I am busy.
