Hi there! I’m Amy, a passionate animal lover based in central Bristol, I'm new to this app and I’d love to help with your pet care needs. I’ve grown up with dogs, frequently caring for my families pair of Jack Russell's, so I have experience with small dogs that have big personalities! I can administer medication, provide enrichment and opportunities for play. More recently I have regularly cared for my neighbours lovely whippet and I have walked and cared for reactive dogs that are nervous and have seperation anxieties. I always endeavour to provide dogs with positive experiences, reinforcing positive training, providing treats, making them feel safe and secure and avoiding stressful situations where possible. Over the years, I’ve gained extensive experience in animal husbandry, working on zoos and farms. I have my own secure garden, live close to green spaces and have access to a car for wilder walks. I come fully equipped with a medium size dog crate and dog supplies. In addition to dogs I have lots of experience caring for other animals. From a young age I have been trusted to look after cats, fish, guinea pigs and even the occasional lizard for friends and neighbours. Animal welfare is a big passion of mine. I will send you frequent photos and updates. You can count on me to provide reliable, caring, and attentive pet care!

Safety, trust & environment
I do not currently have any pets, so your dog will have my home to themselves. I have a lovely enclosed garden, with lots of plants to sniff and plenty of space for sunbathing. I live in a friendly area and am close to local parks so there are lots of opportunities for a walk and and adventure! When caring for animals in their own home, I ensure I bring a calming presence, respecting the animals space if they prefer, but will always provide lots of cuddles and play if they want to! I am attentive at feeding animals promptly, including providing any medication and ensuring water bowls are cleaned and refilled frequently, especially in hot weather. I have provided house sitting services to friends, always leaving a home in the same state I find it... additionally if you have houseplants or a garden I am always happy to water keep an eye on it as well!

I booked Amy to look after Harvey for 5 days , Harvey was relaxed with her straight away , which was great. Amy sent me messages and photos each day which I loved. She was so friendly and responded to questions straight away. I think Harvey had his best holiday with her so will definitely book Amy again ! Thankyou so much !! 🐾
Amy was a great sitter for our pet dog. She provides great care and was a good communicator.
We booked Amy to watch our boy Ernest for the day - Amy was absolutely fantastic with Ernest who can be nervous to begin with. But he settled really quickly and had a lovely time. We received lots of pics throughout the day and Amy kept in touch with how Ernest was getting on! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Amy!! thanks so much!!! 🐾
Amy looked after our dog over the weekend, and did a great job. Our dog has a few quirks, but she listened to all the information we gave her, and we returned to a happy, calm dog. She was on time for the booking, provided updates to us over the weekend and also left the house spotless. Based on our experience, we’d not hesitate to ask her to look after him again.
Amy has always had dogs in her life and has a natural affinity with those she meets. As a dog walker/carer she has shown that it's her responsibility to provide safe, supervised, stimulating exercise and care for dogs and communicate clearly with clients. Her duties have also included drying/feeding/watering on return from walks while ensuring clients properties are left secure and details kept confidential. She is aware of the welfare and safety aspects to be considered when walking and transporting dogs, leasing with clients about preferred methods of restraint. Amy is familiar with the various codes of practise, including the legal requirements of being a dog owner/walker.

Schedule
I am currently between jobs, so I am very flexible with my time! I am happy to provide care over the summer holidays, weekdays and weekends. Please feel free to reach out so we can discuss!
