Pet care fits perfectly into my life right now! I recently stepped away from a job in healthcare to pursue a more fulfilling, balanced lifestyle—and spending time with animals truly brings me joy. I also run a small Reiki business, offering energy healing to both people and pets, which allows me to stay centered, present, and calm—something animals naturally respond to. Whether it’s going for walks, hanging out with a senior pup, or being a comforting presence for anxious pets, caring for animals fills my cup. I have a flexible schedule and am currently available pretty much anytime—so I’m happy to accommodate early mornings, evenings, weekends, or last-minute requests. It’s a gift to do something that makes me smile every day while giving pet parents peace of mind.

Safety, trust & environment
I genuinely love spending time with animals—their goofy personalities and unconditional love bring me so much joy. Whether it’s playing outside, having a cuddle session on the couch, or just hanging out and keeping them company, I’m happiest when I’m with furry friends. At home, I kennel my own dog when I’m not home, so I’m very familiar with crate routines and keeping pets safe and comfortable when unsupervised.

Information Amy E. would like to know about your pet
I always want your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and well-cared for—so the more I know ahead of time, the better! Please share any special needs, routines, medical conditions, or behavioral quirks I should be aware of. Whether your pet takes medication, is on a specific feeding schedule, or needs help feeling comfortable around new people, I’m happy to adapt to their individual needs. I have experience with reactive dogs and understand how important it is to approach them with patience and awareness. I’m also comfortable with crate routines, whether it’s part of training or just for safety while you’re away. If your pet has any food sensitivities or resource guarding behaviors, I can make sure meals and treats are handled safely and calmly. I’ve also experienced with multi-pet households and am confident in balancing different needs, personalities, and energy levels. Medium to large breed dogs hold a special place in my heart (thanks to my own fur babies), but I love caring for pets of all sizes and species—dogs, cats, seniors, puppies, and everything in between. At the end of the day, my goal is to make sure your pets are happy, relaxed, and loved while you’re away—so anything you can share helps me provide the best possible care!
A typical day
A day with your pets depends on the type of visit, but my goal is always the same: to keep them happy, engaged, and comfortable while you’re away. For sitting, I keep their routine as close to normal as possible—meals, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and lots of snuggles! I love being active with animals, whether it’s playing fetch in the yard, a relaxing walk around the neighborhood, or a cozy movie night on the couch. During drop-in visits, I make sure they get plenty of attention and enrichment—feeding, potty breaks, playtime, or even a quick training refresher if that’s part of their routine. I can also do light cleaning (litter boxes, messes) and bring in mail or water plants if needed. For walks, I tailor the pace and route to your dog’s energy level. Whether they’re a high-energy pup or prefer a slow sniffari, I make sure every walk is fun, safe, and a chance for them to get their wiggles out. And no matter the service, I always send plenty of updates and photos so you feel confident and connected while you’re away!

Pet care experience
Hi there! I’ve been surrounded by dogs since I was 3 years old—my family always had boxers, and as an adult, I’ve raised a few of my own. After losing my sweet pups, I rescued my current best friend: a black lab mix. I’ve also been the go-to pet sitter for neighbors and friends for years, and working with animals is truly one of my passions. I have extensive experience with reactive dogs, seniors, and puppies, and I’m comfortable tailoring care to each pet’s individual needs. Whether they’re full of zoomies or just want to snuggle, I’m here to give them love, attention, and a safe, calming environment. As a certified Reiki practitioner, I also offer gentle energy healing sessions for pets—especially helpful for anxious, elderly, or recovering animals. I’ve seen firsthand how much it can help them relax and feel secure while their humans are away. You can expect lots of updates, photos, and personalized care while your pets are with me. Their comfort and well-being are always my top priority. Let me know how I can help—I’m excited to meet your fur baby!

Loved having Amy take care of our animals, she eased my worries after our last getaway our dog was very sick! Would definitely use her again.

Amy was responsive, communicative and Jackson loved her!

Amy is always phenomenal, and my big dog just adores her. I can tell he’s so comfortable around her.

Very happy with the job Amy did while we were away. The dogs seemed calm and comfortable with her and there were no messes when we got home. Would definitely contact again
