Growing up surrounded by dogs, cats, and even tending to our neighbor's fish from a young age, pet care became second nature to me. Though my partner and I currently don't have a furry companion of our own, we've been the trusted sitters for our friends' beloved pets for many years. Our experience includes caring for senior and special needs dogs, where adhering to medical routines or providing extra attention to eating, bathroom breaks, or mobility is second nature. We also enjoy working with younger pups and ensure to help support their training while their families are away. I approach each pet-sitting opportunity with genuine interest in learning about your pet's unique needs, ensuring they have the most enjoyable time possible while you're away.

Amy & Derek always take excellent care of our dog. We always feel at ease whenever we are out of town. They’re communicative, have experience, and great with our dog.
Amy and Derek took good care of our GSP's over the Thanksgiving week. They sent daily pictures, walked them a couple times a day, and were great sitters. In fact, the dogs didn't even go on the normal hunger strike they do with new surroundings. Amy and Derek were responsive to messages, both before and during the booking. Would definately use again.
This is the 3rd time we’ve used them and our dog loves them! We will continue to use them any time we need dog help.

Schedule
We both have hybrid jobs with a mix of in office and at home days. Typically there are 1-2 day we are both in office but offer lunch walks to pups when we are hosting. We live in a walkable neighborhood and going outside is part of our everyday lifestyle. I'm an early riser and love to chill out in the evening. My husband takes walks mid day and I typically go out for a walk in the morning and evening.

Safety, trust & environment
I am interested to know your lil buddies lifestyle and schedule, so they can seamlessly transition from your care to mine. My husband and I live on the top two floors of our two-family home and make your buddy feel right at home. We love to snuggle on the couch or play tug to keep pups engaged. We do not have children or pets of our own and only care for one (or up to two from the same household) guest at a time. This allows us to focus our care to make it a special and safe stay. We have an active lifestyle but make time to be couch potatoes equally. We are happy to share our room or crate your pet but we typically set up our new friends in the guest room where they can stretch out.
A typical day
We like to take daily neighborhood walks and will play tug or catch regularly. If it’s a weekend and it fits your pups life style we like to go on longer hikes and go to the park. We will explore new places and make them part of the family in our care.

- Let us know the general routine and any specific needs or ticks so we can ensure our plans align. If your dog doesn’t do well with kids, cats etc… no problem we can make sure to keep them in situations that support their time away. We always recommend bringing a blanket that smells like home so they have a reminder while you're away.
