Pet care experience

Space to Play and Naps too!

I've been 'animalish' since I could walk. With that comes a life long desire to interact with and appreciate the special animals that cross my path. I have worked in the medical field for over 20 years, including 10 years in veterinary settings. I have cared for many pets, from horses to goldfish at my own home as well. I feel comfortable caring for aged pets or pets with special medical needs. If you have a rabbit, guinea pig, or another furry friend who is not a cat or dog, please ask about daycare for them as well. In addition to our barnyard and pastures, we have a large fenced dog-yard behind the house surrounded by trees and grass. I can provide a crate if one is needed for small or medium-sized dogs. We have two mature cats that also live with us, one outside and one in the house. Unless you want to include chickens, my husband and I are the only two-leggers. Our upper and lower levels can be separated if any disputes over space seem likely. There are private trails on the property for walking in the fresh air.

Amy is an excellent "dog sitter" & is always very attentive to our Filson, who is a Wire Fox Terrier & expects a lot of "attention" :) He loves going to their home! We highly recommend Amy & her environment....which is peaceful & calming.

Pets

A typical day

We can spend time doing the activities your pet enjoys. Catching a ball, getting brushed, walking in the woods, or chasing laser lights are all possibilities. The backyard has fencing and free time outdoors with supervision is encouraged when the weather permits. (Walks are only available for dogs that do not pull at the leash.)

I have no breed preferences, but pets must be able to be inside without destructive behavior, i.e. house-trained. We would like to know what kind of animals and people your pet has experience with as we have many pets and livestock that make their home here too. Does the pet have any quirks, dislikes, or special needs?
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
