Safety, trust & environment

My priority is maintaining your pet’s established routine to minimize stress. I begin every stay or visit with a thorough walkthrough to understand your home’s security (locks, alarms, and "off-limit" rooms). I am extremely detail-oriented, I ensure gates are latched, doors are double-checked, and hazardous items are kept out of reach. Environment & Well-being: • Respectful Presence: I treat your home with the utmost care, keeping common areas tidy and following all house rules strictly. • Active Supervision: During walks or backyard play, I am 100% focused on the pet’s body language and surroundings to prevent any stressful encounters. • Communication: I provide consistent updates and photos so you never have to wonder how things are going. • Cat-Specific Care: Having owned cats, I know they appreciate a calm environment. I’m patient with shy hiders and attentive to those who need social interaction, always ensuring litter areas are kept pristine and water is fresh.

Information Amy D. would like to know about your pet

To provide the best possible care for your pet, I find it’s incredibly helpful to know the following details ahead of time: • Health & Wellness: Any allergies, current medications (and your preferred method for administering them), or physical limitations I should be mindful of during walks. • Behavioral Quirks: How does your pet react to strangers, other animals, or loud noises like thunder or fireworks? Knowing if your dog is a "puller" on a leash or if your cat has specific hiding spots helps me keep them comfortable. • Home Rules & Routine: Are there "off-limit" furniture pieces or specific rooms? What is their typical feeding schedule and portion size? • Safety Essentials: Where do you keep the leash, cleaning supplies, and emergency contact info (including your preferred vet)? • Cat-Specific Details: For my feline clients, it's great to know their favorite types of play and their "touch" preferences (e.g., do they love chin scratches but hate their tails being touched?).

A typical day

My Typical Day: Play, Routine & Relaxation For the Active Pups: A typical day starts with a morning walk to get the "zoomies" out and explore the neighborhood. If we’re hanging out at your home, we’ll balance backyard play sessions with plenty of belly rubs and "pawsitive" reinforcement. Every outing is focused on safety, sniff-breaks, and making sure they return home happy and tired. For my Feline Friends: Since cats run on their own schedule, I tailor my day to their mood. We’ll do interactive play with feather wands or laser pointers to channel their natural hunting instincts. For the more relaxed or senior cats, "fun" might just mean a quiet afternoon of chin scratches and companionship while I’m house sitting. I always make time to check their favorite hiding spots and ensure their environment is exactly how they like it. The "Standard" Routine: • Morning: Fresh water, breakfast, and a morning stretch/walk. • Mid-day: Enrichment play or a focused check-in visit. • Evening: Wind-down time, cuddles, and a final safety check of the home. • Throughout: I’ll be snapping photos of our adventures to send your way!

Pet care experience

Hi there! A little bit about me, I absolutely love animals. I have grown up with dogs at home since I was very young. My family and I adopted our current dog Skye 8 years ago, she’s a Pit Bull Terrier and such a sweetheart. I have plenty of dog walking experience with many different breeds, large and small. I am very energetic and loving with all pets. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed, play with and babysit their pets. I am confident in my abilities to provide love and care and great exercise for your babies!

Amy is amazing with my two puppies Charlie and Louie. She is very trustworthy and engages with animals very well. She made me feel like my dogs were safe by communicating with me throughout the day and providing me with updates while my dogs were in her care. My pups are always so excited to go out for their walks with Amy, and it makes me so happy to know my dogs love spending time with her. I highly recommend Amy!

Amy is my daughter, she was raised around pets her whole life, whether it was a dog, a snake, or lizard, she loves to cuddle with our dogs and other people's pets as well. I think she would be a great asset to Rover, please consider her for all your pet needs. Thank You
