Safety, trust & environment
I treat a client’s home with great care. I cover my shoes with protective booties at the door and engage with your pets as if they were my own.
Information Amy C. would like to know about your pet
Does your dog have any food allergies? Does your dog like other dogs? How often does your dog like to go outside? How long of a walk can your dog enjoy? How often does your dog eat & any details on their meal routine. I allow dogs on my furniture, if you don't want me to allow that, please let me know. Small dogs are allowed to sleep on the bed but typically, it's best for the dog to sleep on their bed beside me with Ray on the floor. Please bring a bed for your dog, they always do better with their own bed. I'm familiar with cats with diabetes as I had a diabetic cat named Pausha who had to receive injections several times a day. I am not afraid of using syringe for pet care. Most of my dog guests receive daily medications and I set phone alarms if timing is critical.
A typical day
I have 2.5 acre property and I walk my dogs daily & am out and about for drop-in visits. Ray is a curmudgeon as of 2024 so we don’t take house guests unless they are small senior chihuahuas.

Happy Pet Lover & Senior Pet Owner!
Pet care experience
I've had dogs and cats all my life and love animals. More pets make me happy! I'm a retired banker on the east side of Sequim. I’ve done pet sitting and house sitting for many friends over the years as the animal lover in my office. I enjoy meeting new people and their pets. Rover keeps me busy with a good deal of flexibility. I was a customer of Rover when I lived in Seattle and loved it. I'm friendly and outgoing and grew up in Springfield, Illinois and moved to Sequim in 2020. Please do take the time to complete your list of pets and their care details in your pet’s profile. This info can be critical in the future. When identifying your cats, please list them all individually, not all names on one line to assure I get to know each animal. When I'm helping with drop -in visit clients for traveling clients, I'll bring in your mail, put out/take in trash cans, fill bird feeders and water plants. I'm happy to help with whatever can be done in the time frame that I'm there. I’ll try my best to fulfill your requests. A bad experience has forced me to explain my personal thoughts regarding animal cruelty. Please don’t ask me to help if you trap your cats in a bathroom when you leave. I will not participate in what I consider animal cruelty as the cats never want to go back into the tiny space.
Reviews

Amy was a reassuring presence for our dog, while we were away. It is good to know that he really likes her.
Always great ~ thanks Amy!
Always a great experience. Such a relief when we're away, knowing that Amy is taking care of our cats and chickens.
Thanks again, Amy! We're so very appreciative of your support with our cats and chickens when we're away.
