I work remote freelance positions which makes my days very flexible. My pup Zoey needs at least 5 miles a day, so we’re usually outside!

Information Amy B. would like to know about your pet
I would love to know a dog's personality and if they have any behavioral quirks, cues, or commands that you use. Any medical issues should also be disclosed. I love all breeds.
A typical day
When you book me for a drop-in or walk, I tailor the visit to your pet’s needs and personality. If your dog loves adventure, we might start with a brisk leashed walk along the quiet mountain roads or nearby trails, giving them time to sniff, stretch their legs, and enjoy the fresh air. If your pet prefers a slower pace, we will take gentle strolls with plenty of breaks and affection. Back at home, I make sure water bowls are full, meals or treats are given if needed, and any medications are administered with care. For playful pups or curious cats, I spend extra time on enrichment activities such as fetch, tug, or interactive toys. For pets who enjoy company but not much activity, I provide calm companionship and comfort. I always check for any changes in your pet’s mood, behavior, or physical condition, and will send you photo and message updates so you know exactly how they are doing. My goal is to ensure they feel happy, secure, and cared for until you return.

Pet care experience
Hi, I’m Amy! I am a former veterinary technician with three years of experience in emergency medicine, specializing in surgical anesthesia and patient care. I now work full-time in marketing, but animals have always been my greatest passion, which is why I spend my free time caring for pets. I live in Jamestown, Colorado with my sweet and adventurous dog Zoey. We are surrounded by beautiful mountain trails, quiet roads, and open spaces, so walks and outdoor adventures are a regular part of our days. Your pup can join in for a safe leashed stroll, a hike in the foothills, or a play session in the yard. Over the years I have provided house and pet sitting for many families, always offering the same attentiveness, respect, and affection to each client’s pets as I give to my own. I am clean, responsible, punctual, and flexible with scheduling. My veterinary background means I am trained in basic first aid and can confidently administer oral, intramuscular, and subcutaneous medications. Whether your pet needs exercise, playtime, medication, or simply a loving presence while you are away, I will make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for until you return.
Reviews

Highly recommend!

Amy took care of our 15-year old senior "baby" while we went with our younger dog whale watching during a weekend getaway to NH with our 2 dogs. Our older dog has several health conditions, on top of her advanced age, so we did not even think about bringing her on the boat. Instead, we tried to find someone qualified to look after her, and Amy was a perfect fit and very accommodating. We dropped out senior baby in the morning and, when we picked her up in the afternoon, she was happy and relaxed. She was just chilling and looked at us like "oh, is it time to go?" We had never left her in the care of someone outside our family, but Amy was great and we are very pleased with the service and attention out senior baby received.
I just used Amy for the first time and was delighted. She was great at keeping me updated, extremely flexible with pick-up and drop-off and I felt completely comfortable that my dog was being well cared for during my absence. In fact, I think my pup was having a blast with Amy! I would recommend her services without hesitation.

Amy watched our two energetic dogs while we took a 10 day vacation out of the country. It was such a relief to know the pups were in such good hands and got excellent care while we were so far away. There was an incident early on in their stay, which Amy handled like a pro- we couldn't have asked for more. We have no reservations about bringing Diego and Nala back to stay with Amy in the future. They came home happy and had clearly gotten plenty of attention and exercise. We've tried boarding facilities in the past for simple overnight stays, inevitably the dogs came home each time fighting with each other more than when we dropped them off. This was NOT the case when they came back from Amy's house. If anything they seem more bonded and love-y than before! Nala has been a stubborn eater lately and Amy tried several tricks to get her to eat her food, including hand feeding Nala a couple of meals - this was above and beyond anything we could have asked from her. Her past experience as an emergency room Vet Tech is an added bonus of comfort, she has practical know-how in handling difficult situations. Her current work schedule is also great, as we know the dogs did not spend prolonged periods of time alone. Amy sent us plenty of updates, pictures and even a couple of videos upon request so we could see how our pups were doing. This was very comforting to us, and we really appreciated all the time Amy spent with our active dogs. We highly recommend Amy as a dog sitter, you will not be disappointed!
