From zoomy puppies to senior cats with strong opinions, I adapt my care to suit each pet’s pace, personality, and routine. I have met everything from diva dachshunds to cats who only accept chin scratches at a 45° angle. I’m confident with all ages and temperaments, including nervous rescues, energetic pups, and senior pets who just want a calm, loving presence. I am experienced with medication, special diets, anxious animals, and pets who just need a bit of extra patience. I treat every pet like they are my own, whether that means tug-of-war in the garden, quiet lap time, or translating their unique version of “feed me now”. We booked Amrita last minute as our original dog sitter cancelled. Amrita was absolutely amazing, she gave us frequent updates and responds quickly and efficiently. We felt so relaxed that our Bluebell had such an amazing time whilst we were on holiday. She’s now our go to dog sitter. Thank you so much Amrita for loving our dog! Would 100% recommend!
Amrita accepted a last minute change of schedule which I’m very grateful for. She took care of Bala and Lucifer and provided lots of updates. And they seem to have had a great time and slept a deep sleep when I picked them up. Would definitely book again.
Could not fault a thing, Amrita took in both my dogs and cared for them as if her own, I received daily updates photos, videos of how my dogs was getting on and my dogs were very happy and very spoilt. Would definitely recommend Amrita and her husband both lovely, caring doggie people.
I first used Amrita to take of my dog, Daisy, in 2020 when I had to get an emergency flight back to my home country for two weeks. I needed someone who was flexible but also trustworthy, Amrita was exactly that. She took such amazing care of my Daisy that every time she sees her after then, she gets so happy. She kept me well informed about Daisy and you can tell she had a genuine, caring heart. Highly recommend and worth the money for all the extras she does!

Schedule
Pet care is a regular part of my weekly routine and something I genuinely enjoy. I am flexible with mornings, evenings, and weekends, and I plan my schedule around the needs of the pets I’m looking after. Whether it’s daily walks, feeding, playtime, or overnight stays, I make sure your pet gets consistent, calm, and loving attention throughout the day. I always allow extra time for cuddles, belly rubs, and the occasional game of fetch (or staring contest with a cat!).

Whether I am caring for your pet in my home or theirs, safety and comfort always come first. I take the time to understand each pet’s routine, temperament, and specific needs so they feel secure and relaxed from the start. I make sure their environment is calm, clean, and free from hazards, and I always supervise them closely, especially during walks, mealtimes, and any interactions with other animals. I keep to the routines they are used to, including feeding times, medication (if needed), and preferred sleeping spots. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners feel reassured that their pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.
A typical day
A typical day with me is all about keeping your pet happy, relaxed, and stimulated. This includes a morning walk and garden time, followed by breakfast and some quiet bonding time. Depending on your pet’s age and energy level, I’ll plan a mix of play, enrichment activities like sniffing games or puzzle toys, and plenty of rest in between. If they love cuddles, I’m always happy to give them extra attention and affection. Walks are tailored to a dogs pace and needs, whether it’s a slow stroll for a senior dog or a longer adventure for more energetic pups. I keep to their usual routine as closely as possible so they feel secure and settled throughout the day.
