Hi! My name is Ammie, and caring for animals has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. throughout my life I’ve opened my home and heart to several cats and dogs, providing them with attentive, loving care. In addition to my personal experience, I worked for four years at a dog daycare, where I cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities. This experience taught me how to safely manage groups of dogs, recognize their individual needs, and ensure they felt comfortable, happy, and well cared for. One of my favorite parts of working with animals is building trust and creating meaningful connections with them. I understand that pets are family, and I treat every animal in my care with the same love, patience, and attention that I would give my own. I’m excited for the opportunity to care for your pets and provide them with a safe, fun, and loving experience while you’re away!

Ammie has cared for my dog, Benny, who can sometimes be a little challenging and has a few behavioral quirks. What I appreciate most is her patience and willingness to understand his personality rather than expecting him to behave like every other dog. She pays close attention to how he responds to different situations and has shared a few helpful observations along the way. Benny is comfortable with her, and I always feel at ease knowing he’s in good hands. Her calm and caring approach has made a real difference.
Ammie has watched my dog, Rocky, several times, and she’s always been someone I can count on. Rocky gets excited when he sees her, which is probably the best endorsement I can give. She genuinely enjoys spending time with him, keeps me updated, and makes sure he stays on his normal routine. It makes being away so much easier knowing he’s happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Ammie has become my go-to sitter for Rocky, and I’m grateful to have found someone I trust with him.
Ammie does an Incredible job keeping me updated right away, which gives me such peace of mind. I’ve had her sit for my dog multiple times, especially during the chaotic holidays and every single time has been a breeze. She’s fantastic with both big dogs and cats. Mine have different needs and my dog even has some behavioral issues, but with Ammie, she always knows how to handle them and I never worry at all. She’s on top of everything treats, walks, and all the little details. I used to feel nervous booking through these apps but she makes it seamless every time. she’s so flexible! always available for a chat or a call. She just rocks at what she does. I can’t recommend her enough. 🥰
I cannot say enough good things about Ammie! She has taken absolutely amazing care of my pets. I have a beautiful Great Pyrenees and an orange cat, and she has done overnight stays for about a week at a time, while I was away on vacation. She does fantastic drop-in visits as well. What stands out the most is how great she is at communicating. she sends regular updates, adorable pictures, and always puts me at ease. You can truly see how much integrity she has; she treats my pets as if they were her own. She offers in-home stays, provides constant updates, and never hesitates to reassure me, even when I’m a bit of a crazy fur mom. She is simply the best, and I recommend her to everyone!

Schedule
I’m currently a part time student and have a flexible work schedule. I’m available anytime during the weekend. We can coordinate ahead of time to see what works best for both of us!

I believe every pet deserves individualized care, so I always take the time to learn their routine, preferences, and personality. In a client’s home, I strive to keep their pet’s schedule as consistent as possible by following feeding instructions, providing fresh water, taking dogs on walks, cleaning up after them, administering basic care when needed, and making sure they receive plenty of attention, playtime, and affection. For cats, I ensure litter boxes are kept clean, feeding schedules are maintained, and they receive the right balance of interaction and space based on their comfort level. I also provide updates, photos, and communication so pet parents can feel at ease while they’re away.
Pets
A typical day
I love keeping pets engaged, happy, and active while they’re in my care! For dogs, that can include walks, games of fetch, tug-of-war, enrichment activities, and plenty of playtime tailored to their energy level and personality. For more relaxed pets, I’m just as happy spending time giving belly rubs, cuddles, and companionship. For cats, I enjoy interactive play with toys, laser pointers, feather wands, and activities that encourage their natural curiosity and instincts. I also make sure they have plenty of attention and affection if they enjoy social interaction.
