Hi, I’m Amithyst. Are you looking for an overnight bark-and-breakfast, dog walking, or just a few quick visits to check on your pet while you’re away? If so, I'm here to help. I work in the Lenoir City-Harriman area and can easily travel to assist you with any of your pet care needs –– I can even do same-day requests! Growing up, I spent a lot of time around animals that my mom rescued. She was constantly taking in new pets and taught me how to care for them. My experience with canine care also includes volunteer work I did at the Humane Society in Stillwater, Oklahoma. I don’t have any siblings, so I consider every animal I meet to be a part of my pack. Throughout the years, I’ve owned six dogs and currently have just one –– my emotional support pup. I love my neighborhood because there are tons of open places to play. We have a really cute frisbee golf course down the street from my place. It’s super dog-friendly and fun for them to explore. During an overnight stay at my home, your pooch will be delighted to get to sleep in their own private room. I’m a dependable, protective, and responsible pet sitter. It is my goal to ensure the safety, comfort, and happiness of the animals in my care. They are always welcome to ask for affection. I work as a preschool teacher when I’m not caring for pets, so giving love is my specialty!

Truly goes above and beyond
Amithyst is amazing to work with. My dog has bad separation anxiety and Amithyst was patient and loving so my pup knew that everything was going to be okay. She also took the time to recommend some additional tactics to try and provided us with a playlist that is meant to keep dogs calm. By just simply speaking with her you can tell her love of dogs, I highly recommend choosing Amithyst to help with your dogs!

A typical day
When I meet a new pet, I like to get on their level and start engaging with them very softly without any sudden movements. With your approval, I’ll offer them some home-baked doggie treats to sweeten the deal. When we go on walks, we will explore nature together, visit local parks, play fetch and run. There are so many wonderful spots for pups to explore. Aside from being active outdoors and making dog treats from scratch, I’ll give your pooch tons of love and affection and make sure they are always comfortable. I also have a few brain-strengthening toys for canines that I like to let my four-legged guests try out. Your fur baby will have access to food, fresh water, and toys and get frequent bathroom breaks. I'm extremely protective of all dogs, even if they’re bigger than me. Your fur baby will be safe in my care. As a freelancer, I’m flexible with when and where I work, so I can come to your home or host your pup at mine. When you book with me, I’ll provide you with a personal phone number which you can use to reach me at any time, and I’ll send you picture updates while you’re away. I'd love to watch your pets.
