Your pet will become part of our family while in our care. We integrate dogs into our daily routine so they feel safe, included, and loved. We work Monday to Friday from 9 to 5. From Monday to Thursday, we work from home, providing supervision, companionship, and regular breaks. On Fridays, I go into a pet-friendly office, and your dog is welcome to join me in a safe environment with space to play. We take Leo on three walks each day, and your dog would follow the same routine. Mornings include an hour-long walk with a visit to the dog park to run and burn energy, followed by breakfast, fresh water, and playtime with favourite toys. We respect each dog’s individual needs and adjust walks or activities for less active dogs or those with mobility considerations. With two of us, one can stay home while the other goes on a longer walk. On weekends, we enjoy trail walks or riverside strolls for enrichment and fresh air. Weather permitting, we spend as much time outdoors as possible. On rainy days, we focus on indoor engagement, enrichment toys, and mental stimulation to keep dogs happy and active. Our routine ensures structure, attention, and consistency so dogs in our care always feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for.

Your pet will naturally become part of our family while they are with us. We integrate the dogs in our care into our daily life so they feel safe, included, and genuinely at home. We follow a structured routine that includes three walks per day, consistent feeding times, fresh water, and interactive play. After morning exercise, dogs are fed breakfast and given time to relax with their favourite toys. We are attentive to canine body language and monitor closely for any signs of stress or discomfort to ensure a positive environment. We always respect each dog’s individual needs. If your dog is less active or has mobility limitations, we adjust their walks and activity level accordingly. Since there are two of us, one can take Leo on a longer outing while the other provides your dog with a calmer pace and one on one attention. When caring for pets in a client’s home, we closely follow the owner’s established routines to maintain consistency and reduce stress.

To provide the best care possible, we like to understand your dog’s personality, routine, and any specific needs ahead of time. It is helpful to know their typical feeding schedule, exercise level, energy level, and sleep habits. Please let us know about any medical conditions, medications, allergies, or mobility limitations, as well as any behavioural considerations such as leash reactivity, separation anxiety, resource guarding, or sensitivity to other dogs. We also appreciate knowing what your dog enjoys most, whether that is fetch, cuddles, quiet companionship, or lots of outdoor time. Understanding their comfort level with dog parks, new environments, and meeting other dogs helps us plan appropriately. The more information you can share, the better we can tailor their stay to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for.
A typical day
Our mornings typically begin with an hour long walk that includes a visit to the dog park, giving them the opportunity to run, explore, socialize, and burn off energy. Throughout the day, we incorporate playtime such as fetch and other interactive games to keep them engaged and stimulated. On weekends, we enjoy changing the pace with trail walks or riverside strolls for added enrichment and new surroundings. We aim to spend as much time outdoors as possible, weather permitting. If conditions are rainy or unfavourable, we shift our focus to indoor engagement, enrichment toys, and mental stimulation activities to ensure they remain happy, active, and balanced.

My partner and I have spent the past three years training and raising our mini poodle, Leo. He has grown into a well-socialized, friendly dog who loves meeting and spending time with other dogs. During this period, we took a break from Rover, but we are excited to return and welcome new pups into our home. He’ll be just as excited to welcome your dog into our home as we will be. Prior to Leo, we each had over 10 years of experience caring for friends’ and coworkers’ dogs. We’re attentive, patient, and comfortable reading canine body language, including signs of stress, discomfort, or aggression. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always our top priorities.

Amira and her partner are amazing! She took my last minute booking request and Pichirulo loved her. Due to the bad weather in Canada, my husband and I got our flight cancelled twice and we were stranded in Toronto longer than expected. Amira was so flexible with us and let Pichi stay with her for almost two weeks, she even gave Pichi a gift from Santa Paw and bought him some food and other things that were needed. Pichi was loved as a family member! We were receiving daily updates including photos and videos and we could tell our dog was having fun with them. Amira is very trustworthy & caring. My dog loved her stay with Amira. She was well cared for, went on walks and to the dog park. I loved getting pics and videos of my dog while I was gone and I could see she was having fun. Definitely would re-book with Amira when I go on vacation in the future.
Excellent experience for our baby , Amira & partner loved and spoiled our little Diva baby for a week … She sent questions and happy pics almost every day ! We were so pleased and we all would be very happy to have them love and care for Juliet again :) Thank you ☺️
