What I've learned from my years of working with animals of all kinds is that it's important to develop relationships with them. I make sure to develop a positive, healthy relationship with your dog right from the very beginning. That's how I know your dog and I will have a great time together! I have been dog (and people) sitting since high school. I have two dogs of my own and support animal rescue. When caring for an animal, I attend to its emotional needs. My favorite part of spending time with a dog (or any animal) is learning about its distinct personality. If you leave a dog in my care, it will get to play with other dogs and have a great time! My dogs are happy, healthy, and friendly.

Amie is a wonderful sitter in both her flexibility and her caring for your pet while you're away. During Brick's recent visit, he ended up getting ill (not her fault in any way!), and she was a wonderful help in getting in touch with Brick's vet as well as dropping him off and picking him up. She also had no problems giving him the daily medicines that were required during his stay, including the extras to get him over his surprise illness. Amie is always my first pick for Brick's care when I'm away from home; she treats her guests like her own pets and does whatever she can to ensure they're comfortable. She also helped tremendously to smooth over what was a stressful situation for both myself and Brick since I was a couple thousand miles away when he got sick and took excellent care of him.
Amie is great and super flexible with pickup and drop off times! Which is perfect for those odd or delayed flight times. Always much appreciated :)
Amie was great with Lil Mo Salah. She was attentive and responsive with updates. While it was only about 36 hours Mo seemed comfortable and happy for the duration of his stay. We will use Amie again.
Amie was good at communicating about the upcoming visit and flexible about adding a day while the stay was ongoing. I did have to ask for an update after the first small update and didn’t get any pictures from her stay (have always gotten unprompted updates and pictures from other sitters). Can’t comment on the home environment because our meet and greet was at a public park and drop off and pickup occurred outside of her building.

While your dog is here, you will get daily updates and pictures. No having to worry about how your pup is doing! Your dog is a valued member of your family and I respect that. I strive to give each animal in my care the individual attention it needs on a regular basis. Your dog will feel right at home here with me! I live in Dogtown and am close by to Forest Park. The neighborhood here is very friendly and a great place to go for walks. I often see my neighbors out walking their dogs when I am out with mine. Your dog will enjoy all of the activities that my dogs and I like to do together. My dogs and I enjoy going for a swim at my sister's house in the summer. If your dog likes going for car rides, we can visit dog-friendly places together. My favorite dog bakery is Treats Unleashed. My dogs and I also enjoy day trips to the country where we go on walks to explore the smells and visit with the horses. While at home, my dogs have supervised playtime with their extensive dog toy collection. My home has large windows, so if your dog likes to sit by the window and look outside, he can do that here.
