I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities floor as long as I can remember, including special-needs pups through Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue. I also conducted home visits to ensure safe, loving placements. As a babysitter, I often cared for pets too, so I’m used to managing routines with flexibility and attention. I currently have two senior cats, both on daily oral medication, so I’m very comfortable giving meds and keeping older pets calm and cared for. Whether it’s a puppy full of energy or a senior who needs extra patience, I treat every pet like family.

Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority. I offer drop-in visits and dog walking, and I’m experienced in a wide range of environments—from city sidewalks to quiet neighborhoods and wooded trails. I’ve also ridden horses and worked with large animals, so I’m confident handling strong dogs and staying calm and in control in any situation. Through my work with Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue, I was trained to recognize canine body language and understand behavioral cues—skills I use every day to keep pets safe and relaxed. I also conducted home visits for new adopters, which taught me to be observant, responsible, and safety-focused in unfamiliar homes. At home, I live with two senior cats, so I’m also very comfortable with feline care and ensuring a peaceful, pet-friendly space for all animals.

Amelie is a passionate high school student who loves working hard in her free time to help her fellow community members. There is not an animal that she meets that she does not instantly fall in love with, she provides the top quality of care for a reasonable and affordable price. She will make sure your animals are well feed and all set for when you return from your nice vacation or time away from home.

Schedule
I’m currently a Fairfield University student graduating class of 2027. Being a student allows me to have a more flexible schedule and availability during the day when you might be at a 9 to 5 or on vacation.
