I generally see clients Tuesdays through Saturdays, but I am open to caring for pets on Sundays and Mondays once in a while. My preferred working hours are 9am to 7pm, but I understand that pet care requires flexibility!

At this time I only offer in-your-home pet care. You do not need to be present, once we are confident your dog is comfortable with me entering your home. I will do my best to keep your pet's routine while under my care in order to minimize their anxiety. I'm happy to give treats and spoil them, with approved goodies only.
Information Amelia W. would like to know about your pet
I am not comfortable with, and will not be, walking dogs on prong or shoock collars. All walking tack will be free of pain, and a double leash system will be used for safety.
A typical day
I'm excited to provide anything your dog or cat needs during my care. I can take your dog on a sniffari or on an exercising power walk. I'll play with your cat and provide any additional enrichment that may be necessary.

Pet care experience
I have a bachelor's degree in Animal Behavior from UCONN, graduated in 2005. Since then I become a Fear Free Certified Professional Trainer and Certified Cat Behavior Consultant. I also have experience as a veterinary assistant so I can give medications and quickly spot any illnesses. I am confident in my ability to care for your puppy or kitten, those in their senior years, and all ages in between. I have experience caring for chickens, hoof stock, fish, vegetarian reptiles, rabbits, rodents, and ferrets.

We’ve used Amelia (Caring Behavior) for pet behavior work with our two cats, and we couldn’t be happier. Amelia took great care of my two cats while I was on vacation, and they were healthy and happy when I returned. She is my neighbor so sometimes I join her and her two sweet dogs on walks. She is kind and patient with her dogs, as well as my cats and the rest of her animal family. I don't know anyone who shows more love, attention and care to her animals than Ameila.
