Since I work full time in a local school, I am available before 8.30am and after 3.30pm most weekdays, depending on your location. I am available on weekends and am fully flexible during school holidays and half-terms.

As a dog owner, I understand that the safety ans happiness your pet is crucial when looking for a sitter. With this in mind, I’m happy to do whatever I can to put you at ease. When sitting, I’ll always provide updates of how the pooch is doing and what we are getting up to; will always be mindful of keeping your space clean, calm and secure; and will make notes of your pets routine and specific needs. I’m more than happy to meet up or chat on the phone before sitting, and can provide professional and personal references on request.

Feel free to let me know of your dogs specific health and behavioural needs ahead of time - I have dealt with anxious, highly energetic and physically strong dogs before so I don't mind a challenge!

I'm an active and outdoorsy person so although I don't have a car I'm more than keen to take your dog on long walks. I'm equally happy to have a chilled night in with your pup if that's more up their street!

I have been an animal lover for as long as I can remember, from my childhood obsession with big cats, to helping at a local stables to looking after my gorgeous Senior family Staffie! I have always found spending time with animals to be like a kind of therapy, so volunteered to walk and care for neighbours' dogs during my three years at uni. This ranged from a lurcher pup to a senior Collie X so I enjoyed caring for a range of breeds. I currently work as a teaching assistant at a local SEN school and have previously worked as a support worker, so I do consider myself empathetic and responsible. I know that pets are an important member of any family so would be sure to provide the best care possible, whatever your little friend may need.

Amelia did a wonderful job looking after my little dachshund overnight. She was very good about all my notes and instructions for her and Elvis seemed well at ease. I returned home to a happy Elvis and my plants watered for me too! Many thanks x

I have had the chance to get to know Amelia as her personal tutor at the University of Bristol. Amelia was an excellent student. She was studious, outgoing, and engaged during her seminars and lectures. In her other roles, including work, she was punctual and resourceful. Extremely gentle with animals and I know that she has been trusted a lot with dog owners on the ’BorrowMyDoggy’ app, to the extent where she has been asked numerous times if she could petsit whilst owners go away for the week. Amelia is always keen to go to local, open farms where animals are allowed to be fed - likewise, she thoroughly enjoys going to ‘Pets at Home’ when she has a chance, just to have a look at the animal friends! I think this is particularly sweet and worth mentioning because it shows how Amelia chooses to be in the presence of animals, even when she doing something like her weekly grocery shop. I’ve been with her to the supermarket and she has suggested just popping in just to say hello to the animal friends. When with dogs, for example, I notice how patient and caring she is towards the dog - regardless if it is her own or a dog she found of the ‘BorrowMyDoggy’ app. I think she is very reliable, very organised, caring and kind!
Very trustworthy, reliable and caring sitter. Clearly a genuine animal lover. My staffie X loved his time with Amelia. She followed his routine exactly as I requested and I was able to leave him with complete peace of mind. Definitely a five star sitter :)
