I’ve raised and trained all of my families dogs since I was a kid—crate training, puppy behavior, even some agility classes. I taught horsemanship at a summer camp in my high school years, and cat sit for friends whenever they need. To me, getting to know an animal is a lot like getting to know a human: understanding of their boundaries and what excites them is paramount to building trust. My approach is patient but firm with lots of outside and play time.
