I’ve spent my whole life around dogs, and caring for them truly comes naturally to me! I grew up in an animal loving home and on a homestead, so I’m very comfortable with a wide range of routines, environments, and personalities, and I genuinely love getting to know what makes each dog unique. I’m a behavioral analyst by profession, which means I bring a calm, patient, and thoughtful approach to every dog I care for. I also cared for my rescue pitbull for over six years, supporting his behavioral needs with consistency, understanding, and a lot of love. That experience deeply shaped how I connect with dogs, especially those who may need a little extra patience or structure to feel safe and comfortable! I’m happy to meet your dog exactly where they are. If they’re active, I’m all in for walks, runs, hikes, and playtime! If they prefer a slower pace, I’m just as happy keeping things calm, cozy, and predictable. I have experience with a variety of breeds, ages, and temperaments, and I truly enjoy adapting to what helps each dog feel their best. I know how important it is to feel confident when leaving your dog with someone. Amelia is the perfect dog sitter! Very professional, organized, and communicative and also incredibly warm and clearly experienced with dogs. Her space was also such a great fit for our dog with a nice sized yard, and a lovely calm environment. Our dog was excited to see her and return to her house after the initial meet and greet, and clearly felt comfortable there and had a great time. She was very communicative and was happy to accommodate our dog’s unique needs. Very happy to have found her!

Schedule
Pet care fits very naturally into my routine! I work a consistent 9–5 schedule, which makes me especially reliable for morning, evening, and overnight care. I’m a great fit for pets who thrive on routine and calm, predictable support. I work just two blocks from my home, so if your pet is staying with me, I’m able to be very present throughout the day. I always prioritize time before work, can come home during lunch to check in, and then we have the entire evening together for walks, play, or relaxing depending on their needs. On weekends, I’m fully available and love dedicating that time to longer walks, outings, or giving your pet extra attention and companionship. My schedule allows me to be consistent, attentive, and make sure your pet feels comfortable, cared for, and happy! 🐾

Safety and trust are always my top priorities. In my home, I provide a calm, clean, and pet-friendly environment with a securely fenced yard for safe outdoor time. I also have space for a crate if your pet is crate-trained or benefits from having their own designated area. I’m very attentive to routines and will follow your care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, medications, and any specific preferences. I take time to understand each pet’s temperament and make sure they feel safe and comfortable, whether that means giving them space or more engagement. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of your space and aim to keep your pet’s routine as consistent as possible. I stay observant, keep doors and gates secure, and prioritize safety at all times. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos so you can feel confident your pet is in good hands. 🐾
A typical day
A typical day is centered around your pet’s routine, energy level, and what makes them happiest! Mornings usually start with feeding, some quality time, and a walk or play session to get the day going. During the day, I check in, provide enrichment, and make sure your pet is comfortable, engaged, and relaxed. Walks, runs, and hikes would be based on your preference. We can hit up any and all favorites! I am also happy to add my favorites to the mix! I love keeping things fun and varied while still making sure your pet feels secure and in their routine. In the evenings, we wind down with more walks or play, dinner, and plenty of attention. Whether your pet loves to be active and explore or prefers a calm, cozy day with lots of affection, I tailor the day to them so they feel happy, fulfilled, and well cared for! 🐾
