✓ DBS Checked and currently completing a Dog first-aid course. Dogs have been a huge part of my life since I was 7, giving me over 22 years of experience living with and caring for them. I now have my own Border Terrier and I’m also regularly around dogs belonging to friends and family, so I’m comfortable with different breeds, personalities and routines. What sets me apart is that this is something I’m genuinely passionate about, not just a job. I love being outdoors and walking, and I’ll always treat every dog in my care with the same love, patience and attention I give my own. I’m currently completing a Canine First Aid course as I believe safety is incredibly important when someone is trusting you with their dog. I also drive and have safe dog travel arrangements, giving me the flexibility to collect dogs and take them for walks in different locations. I’m happy to provide references from people whose dogs I’ve cared for, and I always welcome a meet and greet beforehand so I can learn about your dog’s individual needs, routine and personality. I even draw and sell pet portraits in my spare time - dogs really are a huge part of my life! 🐾

Safety, trust & environment
I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care, so their safety, comfort and happiness will always be my priority. I have the equipment needed for safe and enjoyable walks and secure dog travel in my car, so I’m always prepared. I’ll follow your dog’s usual routine and any instructions carefully, while giving them plenty of attention and affection. I’m also happy to send photos and updates for extra peace of mind, and I’m completing a Canine First Aid course so I’m prepared should an emergency arise.

Amelia has looked after our Frenchies, for the past four years when we go away on holiday. She also regularly walks them when we are at work. She is so reliable and friendly. You can tell she loves being around animals. She takes them on lovely walks , in the country and also along the beach. They get so excited when she arrives to take him. She has never let us down. She sends us videos and photos of them on their walks. I can fully recommend the services of Amelia. We couldn't do without her.

Schedule
I’ve recently been made redundant, which has given me the opportunity to focus my time on something I genuinely love. This means I’m currently very flexible and available throughout the week, including daytime walks, drop-ins and pet sitting. I also drive, so I can easily work around you and your dog’s usual routine. 🐾

- I’d love to know as much as possible beforehand, including their usual routines, personality, likes and dislikes, energy levels and any medical or dietary needs. It’s also important for me to know how they are around other dogs, people and new environments, whether they have any fears or triggers, and how they behave on walks. The more I know, the more I can tailor their care and make sure they feel happy, safe and comfortable with me.
