I work Monday-Wednesdays in Roanoke and my weekends are variable- I try to keep my calendar up to date. If I have events on the weekends (I’m a musician) they are typically local, and I will block out my calendar for tours. I have flexible scheduling during the day in Roanoke, and can work around your schedule even if you’re not in Roanoke. My work is accommodating and partially work from home.

I like to provide my clients with updates on their pets while they are away with pictures and descriptions of anything out of the ordinary they may need to know about, and also just cute shenanigans your critters are up to each day. If you have any questions always feel free to message me with specifics and I will do my best to accommodate. Whether I am spending the night, or stopping by your home, I will treat your space and pets with respect and do my very best to communicate openly with you!

Please let me know of any special requests you have with your pets, including any triggers they may have (spots they don’t like to be petted, if they are territorial about food or a space) so I can best accommodate to their needs. If your pet has allergies to food, or needs medication let me know so I can make a note to make extra time during my visit. I have administered injections to dogs and snakes before but would like you to show me how you prefer to do it so your pet is as safe as possible.

I love hiking, biking and playing with dogs. I can play tug of war, set up puzzle toys and go on long hikes or walks in your area. If I am staying at your house with other critters, I will play with them (if applicable and desired) or read a book/watch a movie if they want company.

I’ve been taking care of my own dogs for 15+ years, along with a variety of exotic animals including birds, snakes, rats, fish and many more. I have been walking and feeding and watching dogs, cats, horses and farm animals for 10 years. I love animals, I always have and while I work full time, I self schedule and can be flexible. I don’t typically travel for holidays so I am around locally on most holidays, and can fit your beloved pet into my schedule so you can feel at ease while you are away from them. I can do whatever you need me to do in your house. I have lots of experience with puppies and elderly dogs (and those in between), cats and kittens, and lots of exotic animals. I am good at following directions and can accommodate whatever you need in your space. I also have lots of experience tiring out super energetic pups on long hikes or walks if you need! I love the outdoors and having dogs with me just makes it better! I look forward to meeting you and your precious pets!

Amelia was great watching my two cats while I was out of the country. My normal sitter couldn't do the holidays and Amelia was gracious enough to help out that week, even though I booked a tad bit last minute. I really appreciate you!!!
Amelia was amazing with our two kitties and flock of chickens! We were nervous going out of the country for a week, leaving care responsibilities to someone that we didn't know, but when we met Amelia we clicked right away and knew that she was perfect! She was very communicative with us while we were away, and gave all of our critters so much love ? She checked in often and sent us pictures to put our mind at ease. We cannot have asked for better care for our furry and feathered loved ones, and will be sure to book Amelia again in the future!
