Pet care for all critters!
I’ve been taking care of my own dogs for 15+ years, along with a variety of exotic animals including birds, snakes, rats, fish and many more. I have been walking and feeding and watching dogs, cats, horses and farm animals for 10 years. I love animals, I always have and while I work full time, I self schedule and can be flexible. I don’t typically travel for holidays so I am around locally on most holidays, and can fit your beloved pet into my schedule so you can feel at ease while you are away from them. I can do whatever you need me to do in your house. I have lots of experience with puppies and elderly dogs (and those in between), cats and kittens, and lots of exotic animals. I am good at following directions and can accommodate whatever you need in your space. I also have lots of experience tiring out super energetic pups on long hikes or walks if you need! I love the outdoors and having dogs with me just makes it better! I look forward to meeting you and your precious pets!

I like to provide my clients with updates on their pets while they are away with pictures and descriptions of anything out of the ordinary they may need to know about, and also just cute shenanigans your critters are up to each day. If you have any questions always feel free to message me with specifics and I will do my best to accommodate. Whether I am spending the night, or stopping by your home, I will treat your space and pets with respect and do my very best to communicate openly with you!

Amelia was amazing with our two kitties and flock of chickens! We were nervous going out of the country for a week, leaving care responsibilities to someone that we didn't know, but when we met Amelia we clicked right away and knew that she was perfect! She was very communicative with us while we were away, and gave all of our critters so much love ? She checked in often and sent us pictures to put our mind at ease. We cannot have asked for better care for our furry and feathered loved ones, and will be sure to book Amelia again in the future!
I would recommend Amelia to all my friends and family. She is super friendly and a total animal lover. My dog gets so excited when he sees her. Amelia has watched our dog and house from 1 night to 3 weeks. We love her and so does our dog!
Amelia is reliable, loving, and a delight. She has taken care of many of our pets over the years, including dogs, birds (indoor and outdoor), rodents, reptiles, fish, insects, and crustaceans. She is capable and responsible, and has a special way with animals that is evident very quickly. While we don't have cats due to allergies, we have seen our neighbor's cats come to her even though they usually hide from people. They seem to know she cares about them and that they are safe with her. Her connection with our animals helps us feel better when we're away. She notices when something isn't right and lets us know, such as when our dog had a scratch show up near her eye from running through the blackberry bushes in our yard. Amelia has administered medications as prescribed by our vets to our animals on occasion as well. This has included pills, salves, and injections. Amelia also takes good care of our home while taking care of the animals. I happily recommend Amelia as a pet caretaker. She is our pets' favorite visitor:)

Schedule
I work Monday-Wednesdays in Roanoke and my weekends are variable- I try to keep my calendar up to date. If I have events on the weekends (I’m a musician) they are typically local, and I will block out my calendar for tours. I have flexible scheduling during the day in Roanoke, and can work around your schedule even if you’re not in Roanoke. My work is accommodating and partially work from home.
