Hi I’m Amelia👋 (known mostly by Amy) and I have looked after animals since my teens. Whenever a family member or friend would go on holiday I would seem to be the person they trust due to my love and adoration for animals and my trustworthiness to look after a home if I stayed at their house. I’ve looked after different breeds and sizes of dogs and love to provide them with the enrichment they need as well as having owned cats and taken care of them whether that be for a pet sit for people I didn’t know prior or for friends and family. Dog training is something that interests me and would be a potential future career down the line. I have been vegetarian for 10 years due to my love of animals and like to keep fit and hold a degree in nutrition. I am known as a caring person and have volunteered for the charities British Heart Foundation and Mind.

Schedule
I work remotely Monday-Friday 9-5 so this would work well with pet sitting and providing company for pets in the day and for overnight stays. Weekends are free also.

I have experience through house sitters uk of providing care for pets in the owners homes. I am clean, respectful and attentive to any needs of people’s pets 😊 I will stick to their routine if that’s what is preferred so providing their walks at a certain time etc.
Pets
A typical day
Stimulation is so important to a pet’s wellbeing. With dogs, I’ve played many games of fetch, using rope to satisfy their chewing needs and ensuring they have a good walk to burn off energy. I think it’s important to let a dog sniff around too as this provides mental stimulation. When chilling with dogs on the sofa I’ve put calming music on for them, incase they may feel anxious away from their owner as well as visuals of ducks which I’ve found a lot love! I would ensure to remain a positive attitude with your pet I think a positive happy tone of voice is important and I’ve noticed when I use this their tails wag! When it comes to cats to prevent boredom it would be good to use toys to play with them and I know a lot love to chase string, play with cat nip toys and laser pointers! It’s crucial to give them this stimulation and I spend a lot of time with animals rather than being out for hours- I want your pet to have a lovely time with me💖😆 I would ensure to give pets the most enriching fun day as it’s my duty to make sure they’re happy as well as the owner having peace of mind someone is taking care of their pet correctly 🥰 updates both pictures and videos can be provided daily as this is what I normally do but any objections do let me know!
