I am trained as a Canine Behavior Coach and Internationally Certified Sitter and was raised in a family of German Shepherd owners that also had cats, horses, birds, etc. We've had Poodles, Lhasa Apsos, Cocker Spaniels, Labradors, Shepherds, Maltese, Shi Tzus, and Doberman's in my life and surroundings. I took care of dogs and cats since the age of 10, made my first steps with a big dog and learned to care of them with a lot of love, devotion and experience. I have participated so often in providing shelter or helping rescue animals and being their voice in this world. I have owned dogs and cats all my life, bathed them and did some light grooming with a lot of attention placed on each one. I have lived around the world and also exhibited gorgeous Lhasa's in Europe, as well as have loving mixed breeds and rescues at home. Every dog or cat for me has its own personality to respect and admire. This is a never ending story of unconditional love for and my magnetic attachment to animals since my first steps. Finally, I also conduct and teach light command training during grooming and pet sitting, trained in Canine's Behavior Workshops. I have 1 rescue dog, loving and well trained, and one recently passed away at age of 18 yrs. He has reached this amazing age because of the good care and love I have given him. It will be my pleasure and joy to take care of your pet as it is my own.

I couldn’t be happier with the care Amela took of my 7 mo. old puppy. It was hard leaving him for 5 days, but Amela made me feel so comfortable with leaving him- from the first meet through the entire booking. She sends updates consistently, allows you to see her home and the space your dog will be in, encourages you to bring your pet’s favorite toys, etc, and provides plenty of exercise for them. I will definitely be using her again and recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter.

Amela was wonderful! She was very knowledgeable of different breeds of dogs. Beautiful home and lots of property. My 11 month old Staffordshire terrier who is very shy, had great time with the other dogs in the home and Amela even gave her a message. The best thing is that she understood that intergrating the dogs carefully was very important. Lots of walks and fun for all. Even if you have a pup that's not used to other dogs or people Amela has lots of experience and alot of room to allow them to get used to socialization with others. Amela is amazing! It really shows when you talk to her that she has a love for what she does and is very good at it. She sent me regular updates and pictures which made me feel at ease knowing our Roxi was adjusting well and well looked after. She made a point to slowing introduce her to the other pups she had in her care and has a great setup. We will definitely book again in future.

Schedule
All the time at home - my animal paradise, considering your pet as my own fur baby. Boarding at my home any time as well as during holidays, emergencies etc.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a big house and secured fenced garden with a pool and lake, however I have a security cameras and as needed alarms attached to the collar for the dogs who do not like water for emergencies. I never let dogs alone outside and rarely alone inside, they usually follow me around the household anyway, the bond is magnetic. However I am also 24/7 with the pets, I take it as my special devotion, obligation and love. My Australian Shepherd is very friendly, loving and a rescue dog too. I devoted my life time to animal care and rights. A lot of care, play, activities, love, belly rubs and smooches guaranteed. Special with the senior dogs - I had many dogs, example Lhasas, that because of the good life and care I gave them - reached age of 20 yrs. However I adore kitties too and had gorgeous, smart and witty cats in my life. My neighborhood has the sufficient. excellent walkways but also some of the best dog parks to play and run if requested.
Pets
A typical day
I take my dogs 2- 3 times to walks around my dog friendly neighborhood: - Young dogs at least 30 minutes each walk - Senior dogs at least 15 minutes each walk I give at least one hour of single attention to each dog in my care daily - to establish bond, learn the personality, check the body condition, feed, gave medication if instructed and build up trust and love. The rest of the day is usually spend with a group, play time at the park, games at my big backyard and inside the home, with favorite toys, balls, frisbee or some basic obedience training with a lot of fun. Feeding as per instruction of the owner and/or vet. Relaxing moments, snuggling and enjoying a some sun together at the deck is also time needed to unwind and bond.
