Hi! I’m Amberlynn, a fourth-year medical student and longtime animal lover living in Chicago. I’ve cared for dogs and cats throughout my life and have built a wonderful community of Rover clients here in Chicago, many of whom have trusted me with their pets and homes again and again. I’m especially attentive to the little things that help pets feel safe and comfortable while their people are away: maintaining their normal routines, giving them plenty of attention and exercise, and providing frequent photo and video updates so you never have to wonder how they’re doing. I have experience caring for puppies, senior pets, shy and anxious dogs, multi-pet households, and pets with individualized routines and needs. As a medical student, I’m naturally detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and comfortable carefully following specific care instructions. At home, my partner and I have three very loved pups of our own: Birkley, Tucker, and Spark. Birkley is my 16-year-old Chihuahua whom I’ve had since the day he was born; Tucker is our energetic rescued Jack Russell; and Spark actually began as one of my Rover clients before unexpectedly becoming part of our family. ❤️ I understand how much trust it takes to leave both your pet and your home in someone else’s care. My goal is simple: for you to enjoy your time away knowing your pet is safe, loved, comfortable, and being cared for as if they were my own.

Your pet(s) wellbeing and comfort are what I prioritize most when I have the privilege to care for them. My three pups are my world, and I understand the amount of trust you are instilling in another person to care for your fur children. If and when in your home, my every action will be intentional and goal-oriented towards providing your pet with the most outstanding care.

Amberlynn was amazing with our pup! We have a very shy Cavapoo and Amberlynn was so patient and loving to her, she warmed up quickly. Amberlynn was prompt, friendly and had great communication with me throughout her stay. I would have her back in a heartbeat!

Schedule
My schedule varies depending on my clinical and academic commitments, but I maintain my Rover calendar carefully and only accept bookings that I know I can give the attention they deserve. I’m happy to discuss your pet’s normal routine before booking to make sure I’m the right fit for their needs.

- Every pet has their own personality and routine, so the more I know, the better! Please let me know about feeding schedules, medications, walking routines, favorite activities, separation anxiety, leash behavior, reactivity, fears or triggers, or anything else that helps your pet feel comfortable and safe. I also appreciate knowing how your pet typically interacts with other dogs and people, as well as how long they are accustomed to being left alone.
